Astros are letting to many High ERA Pitchers pitch late into games.

More patience by Springer could have made it so Rodon never finished this inning.
Soria and Fry are their only well-rested relievers.
Juan Minaya threw 4 pitches yesterday so they can get an inning from him too.
But beyond that, all their guys have thrown 2 nights in a row already.

Right now with Springer not hitting and you can really only count on Altuve and Bregman and occasionally Gurriel. This is how poor pitchers are pitching in the 6th and 7th inning lately.

Springer will end up having a good July. I think in the next 10 days he gets close to 10 hits.

According to the game total, they have only left 7 on Base. I find that hard to believe of course it was deceptive as the left 4 men on first two innings.

So much for the White Sox being a weak team with poor pitching. Once again the Astros are finding themselves in a close dogfight game. With under 4 runs scored and we know how they fare in those circumstances.

I like the idea of winning this game in 16 innings. Just tire out the Sox at the start of the four-game series.

Verlander, Cole and Morton have been struggling as well (not being their usual dominant self)
Add Marwin and Springer going through hard slumps and I'm surprised we haven't been blown out lately.
