5ks in 3 innings, if he can match that it would be 10 in 6. Sounds good to me.

he did it as a rookie as well but came out of it. Something is wrong though, Hinch et al need to figure it out.

He’s 8 for 82 since June 15th. Isn't this getting into very Rare Territory? I'm no expert on this kinda stuff but it seems to me is beyond just being in a slump. I would say well below average. I don’t notice anything wrong other than he pulls pitches a lot.

Is it a platoon situation with Stassi and Fedorowicz?

this guy can chunk it up there. we need to get some pitches on him and see what he has as far as endurance goes. He looks pretty darn good right now.

If I’m a pitcher, I’d just throw it in there against Springer. He can’t hit water from a diving board at this point.

True. First AB of the season was a homer to RF. Maybe he has some issue he’s keeping quiet about.

Well, only 1 Astro struck out in 10 trips to the plate. That's good.
I count four air outs so far; we know that one of every 7 or 8 of those guys will leave the park. It will pick up soon, just after we tease the A's with dreams of pitching a no-hitter.

Seeing Springer is supposed to be one of our Premier Hitters, I would think Mgt. would have come up with a solution instead of having Lead Off for the 80th or games.

We'll see.... I'd feel better about that lineup if Springer woke up. Springer is not going to get better at batting first in the batting order if he’s not batting first in the batting order. - AJ this tells me AJ's about to move him out the leadoff role

Verlander's seriously not had an all-star appearance since '13?

Cole struggled a bit there but remained unscathed.

Verlander's seriously not had an all-star appearance since '13? I think he’ll step aside to give McHugh a chance unless that’s not allowed.

They won’t do hit and runs or steals, but they’re okay with trying to take two bases on a wild pitch.

By sheer luck, Lucroy's laziness allowed him to get an out there. Though the Astros do make more outs due to baserunning gaffes than the average team, that is a statistical fact.

Wtf? Out at third on a wild pitch? Calm down. Another dumbass move by Altuve.........he was in scoring position at second, but, then had to make an unwise attempt at third. When will he ever learn.........he continues to have brain farts on the bases.

Eh, bad choice but trying to get something going. It was a stupid move.......period., He could score from second on a hit. What hits? What hits have we gotten besides Altuve? If he gets to third maybe he can score without a hit. He took a risk. Didn't pay off. Maybe if somebody else could get a hit he wouldn't take the risk.
