Why are they even reviewing this? There’s no possible way to reverse this. I think it was mostly a CYA thing. It was such a strange way to end a game, and they wanted to get NY's blessing on calling it a game just on the off chance that it was later determined there was a reviewable aspect to the play. |

Walkoff E2 on a ball that dribbles three feet and was almost foul. Missed the tag on Bregman, dropped the ball, then threw it away for Tucker to score. |

Bregman is not a good interviewee I want to see Giles be the official designated interviewee after each game. Even the one like today when he blew it! That would be awesome |

The fans booed him off the field and you could tell he was very irritated at being pulled. Hinch put the team in a situation to lose the game by using Giles. They have to get Giles off this team. |

It will be in heavy rotation on MLB Network today. Bregman hit a tapper that bounced inside the batter's box and rolled weakly a few feet down the 1B line. The ball rolled foul at first but then came back into fair territory. Lucroy picked it up in fair territory and tried to tag Bregman out, but he bobbled the ball and no tag was made. Bregman alertly started running to first. Lucroy's throw to the first baseman glanced off Bregman's helmet and sailed into foul territory, allowing Tucker to score from second. Actually Kemp would normally have scored from first too but only the go-ahead run counted as it was a walk-off situation. No, I'm not making it up. |

Big hit by Kyle Tucker and excellent base running by Reddick. I have seen lots of baseball in my 69 years, but, I have never seen a major league game end like this one.
Hopefully, this game taught Hinch he cannot use Ken Giles in most situations. It should have told Luhnow he has to go get relief help and get rid of Ken Giles.
Still waiting for Tyler White to show why he should be on this team. He is totally useless.

Not aMused by the bullpen tonight, esp. Giles
(1) I wanna see how Luhnow / Hinch handles Giles if he truly let out a fu comment when pulled. I don't care if it is 2018, you don't pull those stunts in public, and undermine your manager.
(2) Can we come to a consensus that Giles is a perpetual choker?
(3) Championship teams don't need guys like him. There's a reason he was benched during the WS. How many closers has there happened to?
Luhnow.....Trade for Hand ASAP, and relegate Squatty to mop up role.

There was nothing to replay. Lucroy dropped the ball while trying to tag Bregman. Bregman avoided the tag while Lucroy was fumbling the ball and then ran all the way to first base INSIDE the running lane. There was no question he was inside the running lane. Lucroy just threw the ball away allowing us to win the game.
