I feel like half of Hinch’s job is in determining how to manage the streakiness of Springer. Part of why Springer at leadoff has historically worked is because it constantly keeps pressure on the pitcher while putting him in a nothing-to-lose part of the batting order. In a way, I was complimenting Hinch. |

7th- 27/106 .255 avg 4 HRs, 12 RBIs .316 OB%
8th- 7/25 .280 avg 6 RBIs .471 OB%
9th- 3/8 .375 avg 1 RBI .444 OB%
Marwin is best suited at the bottom of the order with this team, 8th or 9th.
