Our stars just showing warning track power. I wish I had counted how many balls they hit have been caught on the warning track over the past week.

I am a huge Tucker fan but he needs to hit the weight room. He should have been in it at Fresno.

As of today, the Astros have 10 players with wRC+ over 100 (in other words, contributing offensively above the league average). That includes singles, XBHs, sac flies, sac bunts, steals, etc.
The players with wRC+ below 100 are the ones who could in some sense be said to be holding the offense back. They are:
Federowicz - 43 Marisnick - 63 Tucker - 68 McCann - 72 Marwin - 85
Davis & Fisher also had wRC+ below 100 when they were sent to the minors.
White and Reddick both have wRC+ of 109. They're not the guys holding the offense back in my opinion.
Tucker deserves a long leash, so no worries with him. However, I'm not convinced that Fedo, Jake, McCann, or Marwin can be relied on for much offense this year. Defense maybe, but not offense.

That's what we said last month about the Ms And we have a 3-game lead despite not having Correa and all of our position players outside of Bregman mostly playing pretty mediocrely (sp?). That’s fine and all, but let’s not act like the month or so the Mariners have been playing well is some kind of a fluke. The A’s seem legit too. When you throw mistakes, they crush them.

It's certainly not a fluke. I just don't think they will maintain this pace completely (they already haven't been).

You guys have been saying for a month that Seattle will not be able to continue this pace. Well they keep it going and certainly look better than the Astros have for over a week.

The Astros need to get a healthy Correa back and say bon voyage to some of the holdovers from the 2014 team (Jake, Marwin). Stop pushing the starters beyond their physical limits and don't put relievers out there in high leverage situations when they haven't commanded their pitches all week. You got a hot hand, use it.

Hinch loves Marwin and Jake so i expect them to stay. I like Jake because of his defense, speed, and hustle. I am sick of watching Marwin make a half-assed effort. I wish they would get rid of him.

I feel bad for Hinch (not when he uses Giles) because any given night his pitchers can get punished due to a lack of command. Avoiding using them in high leverage situations will screw them in October. I hope Strom works with them on the continuing issue of falling behind hitters. The Athletics absolutely feasted on poorly located pitches. Whenever I saw a highlight of them crushing the baseball, it was right down the heart of the plate, and I bet a lot of that happened in counts that favored the hitter.

There is also Cervelli in the picture. He was having a great year at the plate, last I checked.

I don’t mind Ramos here because he’ll be batting so low in the order. To me, he’s like a cheaper Abreu and plays a more needed position.
