If Corch coached the Yellow Jackets, then I would agree (too much similarity)....but Corch never served, on account of his coke bottle vision; where as, POP was a Navy Seal (SEAL), who got shot in the head, on a mission, near the beach. Who the hell is POP? I can assure you that I am NOT POP. We would have to be desperate to sign Bautista at this point. I thought it might be a good idea a few weeks back, but, it appears he is totally washed up. POP?....(Prince of Pop) Coach (in your eyes) ....think txcolt. Now multiply the annoyance factor by 10.

I'm afraid Bautista wouldn't amount to anything more than Marwin is offensively. His last 700 PAs have been pretty dismal and I don't really see him turning it around at this point.

You need your mouth washed out with soap for mentioning txcolt. Hopefully, he is history. I never encountered a sorrier piece of trash on any forum and he was dumb as dirt on top of it.

So Bautista is a FA again. Worth a look or nah? The Braves got rid of him already?

The problem with signing a loser like Bautista is: Who's going to lose their spot on the team for him to come here and hit worse than Marisnick?

I'm not saying we should do it. I'm just saying it's worth a discussion.

Gattis has shown some signs of life........Davis has been called up......Either of those are better options than an asshole like Bzutista, whose teammates have never liked him. You don't want to destroy clubhouse chemistry.

Again, if they are old enough to have voted for Jimmy Carter, I don't want them on my team.

I am proud to say that I have not voted for a liberal communist democrat since that day and never will again. The democrats make up 98% of the racists in this country

This from MLBTR:
“The Royals are beginning to engage in some preliminary chatter with rivals in advance of the summer trade deadline, according to Jon Heyman of Fan Rag. Of course, that does not mean that any near-term dealing ought to be anticipated.
While GM Dayton Moore recently suggested the club would not make any decisions until the deadline is at hand, he struck a somewhat different tone in commenting for this report. Moore tells Heyman that, “when a team isn’t performing as well as they’d like, it makes sense to be open-minded concerning trade scenarios.”
Luhnow and Moore have made trades before. Maybe Jeff can swing a deal for Herrera.

Maybe Jeff can swing a deal for Herrera. Copied over from Rotoworld: According to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports, the Royals are "quietly" letting teams know they plan to be sellers at the trade deadline. The 16-33 Royals have no chance of competing this year and are looking to rebuild by trading some of their bigger names for prospects. Heyman named Kelvin Herrera and Mike Moustakas, who are both headed for free agency after this year, as players the Royals would consider trading. He also said they'd be open to shopping Lucas Duda, Jon Jay and Whit Merrifield. Herrera has been excellent in the closer's role this year and is almost certain to be traded at or before the July 31 deadline. The Astros, who have been searching for late-inning depth and a possible upgrade on Ken Giles, would be a logical fit. May 24 - 7:53 PM

Whit Merrifield isn’t a prototypical power hitter, but I’d welcome him to the team if I were Luhnow. He’s a legit 20-20 offensive player with the potential for more.

from crawfishboxes.com site:
"Red Sox DFA'd Hanley Ramirez
Should we? It’s unlikely anyone works out a trade for him and absorbs his remaining contract, meaning he could be signed for a pro-rated portion of the league minimum.
He’s currently on an 0-20 skid since this time last week. Prior to it, he was hitting .287 with a .345OBP on a pace for near 30 doubles, 20+ homers and 180 hits."
Opinions?

Hanley Ramirez is not a player I think would work well with the Astros. I really think internal upgrades can do a good job of covering the LF, IF utility, and DH positions.
Trading for Herrera would be significant for the postseason. That move might give the Astros the #1 bullpen in MLB.

Pass on Ramírez. If people think Bautista is a d-bag, I don’t see how Hanley would be an upgrade.
