I trust the Correa we had last year and expected this season. Right now, there are few that I would trust less than Carlos. I cetainly don't disagree that he has star quality and the ability to make a huge difference. The point is that he has been given ample time and at bats to get back to normal and he has made no improvemnt and doesn't seem to be attempting to making adjustments. He continues doing the same things and getting the same negative results. There is az big difference in a slump and a long drought. 18-107 is more than a slump...I root for him to do well as loudly as anyone and I'm well aware of his talent.......that is what makes watching him continue to not produce while making no changes in his game so frustrating. If our hitting coach is not working with him to try and correct his problem, he needs to be fired. If Carlos is rejecting being coached, he needs to be benched. If we keep getting the same things from him we have been getting, we won't win another title and probsbly won't get past the ALDS. Well, obviously I am a believer in Correa...so if you took a poll, on this board, I might be one of the few that believes he is going to get together and be integral part of the team's success in the playoffs.... I hope you are right and I'm pulling for the same thing. But, this crap he's putting out now has gone on long enough. Unless he gets it together, we probably won't have the playoff success we should have. Something has to be wrong.....no player as talented as he is goes from being an all-star to being this inept for no reason.

Straw has been called up to Houston Maybe AJ has decided to play some small ball occasionally. Straw can sure as heck steal bases. I’m thinking he has been called up to be used strictly as a pinch runner.

Last night, White was out of the game and Gattis had to bat since Jake was the DH after pinch running for White. We ended up with Davis in LF, Marwin in CF, and Reddick in RF. Hinch outmanaged himself last night.

Since they ruined his hitting stroke...probably so Straw is a good outfielder too. He can play all three positions well and has the arm to throw out a runner trying to take an extra base on him. He may play some as a late inning defensive replacement too, I guess. I will be surprised if he gets an at-bat though.

I guarantee that if I see Correa do something with the bat to help the team,I'll post it. Just hope I don't have to wait until next season.

When Correa hits a bomb against Boston and wins the ALCS Mvp we will all celebrate.

When Correa hits a bomb against Boston and wins the ALCS Mvp we will all celebrate. he has to be able to swing the bat to do that.
