72 pitches through 5 for minor. We just are not seeing the same number of pitches per plate appearance here lately. I do not know if it is because everyone is pressing and swinging at stuff to early or what. I know they were teaching guys earlier this year to pick a pitch or pick a zone for the first strike, get less selective on 2 strikes and protect the zone on the third. That must of went the way of the cooler weather.

Hey, Coach White is saying take that. I show him he is wrong. thanks for the incintive It won't continue....it never has. He still has an almost .500 OBP. That is better than all your other players. |

I know Gurriel made that error, but, he has no business playing 2B. Kemp is a second baseman so why the hell is Gurriel playing there?? If Hinch had to have White in the lineup, DH him. Mailing in a three game series at home to the Rangers is pathetic. Guys striking out reaching for pitches out of the zone....flat-footed defense. If a damn chart told Hinch to play Yuli at second base, he needs to get rid of the chart.

Only 4 Astros hitters are seeing an average of 4 or more pitches per PA: White, Marwin, Correa, Bregman. White leads the pack at 5.10 coming into today's game.
Yuli and Kemp each see fewer than 3.5 pitches per PA and they are at the bottom of the pack.

Why is Kemp not at 2b AJ? Pathetic series. Now another run. I think it was OlPapa who raised this question when the game started. Made no sense then. Now the Astros are paying the price for the funky fielding assignments. The Astros offense was good enough last season that the team could win in spite of some of the inexplicable moves that AJ makes with his lineups and his handling of the pitching staff. This season not so much. |

So much for Yuli and Reddick to do something on offense. Reddick is another they should have traded along with Marwin and Gattis at the end of the Year or the beginning.

Apparently he is just naturally thicker than most people as his body fat did not match up with his bmi. |

Hinch needs his blinders taking off about White and Marwin. He keeps seeing Marwin as the hitter he was last year and there is no way Marwin is going to come close to that production.
I think he has an issue with White body style and Name why else wouldn't he want to give him more opportunity.
