If it helps, I grilled an eclectic assortment of beef, mutton, and scallops tonight. Okra, kale, cabbage and carrots on the side... weird but good!

Player of the game ranking: 1. Josh Reddick 2. Evan Gattis 3. Alex Bregman Even though Gattis had that streak earlier this year where he produced. It was nice to get production from him but especially from Reddick. We could really use a combination of Reddick/Gattis hot while Correa and Altuve are out.

I think Reddick spoiled us by having a career year last year. He had never had as good a year offensively as he did in 2017. This year is more in line with his career numbers but with a little less power. If he can raise his AVG 15-20 points he should be about where we should expect him. He's a solid offensive player with good defense.

Reddick, Gattis, and Tucker had very low BABIPs in July so their luck is due to change. It wasn't terribly surprising when Reddick and Gattis both homered yesterday. Their luck was due to change and it sure did yesterday. And Tucker had at least one XBH I can recall.
No Astro had a BABIP of over .300 for the month of July. Incredibly bad luck.

That was my thought exactly after we won. Thomas needs to grill every game night until the end of the season. Can't tonight...eating out... Ask her to return the favor.

I should’ve mentioned that an honorable mention goes to the spark plug Tony Kemp.

Luhnow got him to be a complementary piece for the superstars in the lineup. He’s not meant to carry a team.

Marisnick up... doe that mean Springer to the DL? If not then someone has to go to Fresno. Davis I'd guess?

No Springer, Altuve, and Correa makes things barely watchable.

White still rates as a below-average defender, but he's shown good year by year improvement defensively since 2016. He's steadily reduced his error rate (no errors for White at 1B for all of 2018, MLB and AAA included). Also, his RZR (Range Zone rating) sits at .909 for this season, up from .556 last season. for some reason though AJ's started Davis at 3B a few times, but not White

I don't think the organization sees him playing there for the Astros. It was more a situation where someone else needed time at 1B (Davis, Reed, whoever) so White had to be moved. At times he was even playing SS, which I don't think would ever happen in an Astros game. White has adjusted well to 1B but he's rather sketchy at the other positions.

Then again Davis has not played well at 3B either. The hope has to be for Bregman to hold down that position long term.

Between him, Correa, and Bregman they could rotate through their positions and DH. Especially since Correa seems to be a little fragile.

I saw where the Jays transferred Donaldson from the 10-day to the 60-day DL yesterday.
