4 Ks out the leadoff role. How long will Showalter maintain this charade With Davis it is lightning in a bottle, he gives you nothing with any speed on the bases. The Springer experiment has teams trying it all over the league.

Great series of pitches there to Schoop. I really would not have objected to seeing an IBB there.

Smith, Sipp, and Giles are the Astros' most rested relievers beyond Rondon. So my guess is we see Smith next and then, Giles if we're ahead/tied, and Sipp if the O's go out in front

I didn't get the logic of using both long-innings relievers (McHugh and Peacock) in the same game last night. If this one goes to extra innings, neither of them would be completely rested to go deep into extras.

Schoop should play the Salt N Pepa hit from 24 years ago as his walk-up music

Astros did a great job there of scoring against one of (I think) the better relievers in baseball. I've long wanted Givens to become an Astro. They not only scored, but they made him throw 24 pitches in a single inning. Givens can stay accurate through about 40 pitches so it would be a challenge for him to finish the 7th. I'm hoping we see Araujo; he is one of the more hittable relievers on their staff. You got your wish to see Araujo.

Now THAT is an example of smart base stealing. Fast runner, good lead.

A drag bunt by Fisher would have been good in that spot.
