Verlander has no control over his fastball. If this keeps up it will be a short night.

This looks like a long night for the Stros. Span halfway to the cycle and the hardest two are done.

If you’re going to lose, lose big. Maybe tomorrow Astro fans.

The last time Verlander got hammered at MMP, I was sitting there watching it. Tonight, he looks as bad or worse so nobody can blame it on me for being there. He is absolutely terrible tonight......worst location I have seen from him...No need to take him out now and burn the bullpen because our chances of coming back against Paxton are slim and NONE.

How long before the Home Crowd quit showing up. No one likes to keep going to games and watching the home team continue to lose.

Did Luhnow and Hinch really think they were going to continue to win games with this lineup? I still say Luhnow should have gotten that bat the team really needed. They have been light all year long on Offense and the Pitching has carried them. They aren't able to come back when the pitching falters.

Really shows you how bad the offense is. They won't be thru the lineup once while the M's will have gone thru twice.

They look like they did when the Rangers kicked their asses.

Come on, guys... It's the second inning. JV had a bad game. The offense will pick up over the next week or so as we get players back.

Rough night. It happens. No need to freak out. Explain how they haven't won a Home Game since July 14. It happens an elite team goes a month with winning at home. Just saying, they are seriously flawed on Offense. The last two wins were based on the Poor performance of the opposing team Relief pitching. Not the might of the Astros offense.

T After the SF series, I assume most of us didn't expect the winning results. Then again JV is used to not getting run support, so this is a perfect scenario for this game. Maybe it will be JD doing the honors tonight. Someone needs to step up...this is a tougher task, because the Mariners have a lot stronger lineup..Astros need to give more run support than they 2.5 run support they gave in the Giants series. Just checking in, wow a blow out after two.

Like Paastrosfan said why is it. Other teams rookies come up and produce right away. It always takes the Astros rookies even the highly rated ones many games before they show life. Even then it is a slow painful climb.
