Let me try my hand at starting a GDT and see if we can break out of this funk we’re in:
Charlie Morton R 12-2 2.81 ERA
CF Tony Kemp L 3B Alex Bregman R SS C. Correa R DH Evan Gattis R LF M. Gonzalez B 2B Yuli Gurriel R RF Josh Reddick L 1B Tyler White R C Max Stassi R

I might swap Gurriel and White in the batting order, but considering what AJ has to work with right now, that’s about as good a lineup as he can throw out there.

Tucker went 3-7 vs lefties and 4-38 vs righties while he was up earlier. I would hope that once he has arrived from Fresno and had a chance to settle in, he won’t be riding the bench vs lefties.

I don't like putting Kemp in CF.....I'd go with Fisher, with Kemp in LF, Reddick in RF, Marwin at 2B and Yuli sitting down

Need the pitching to show up again. For sure. We scored enough to be 1-1 in the series. Just my opinion, but I have always felt that if you score 4 or more runs in a game you should win, if your pitchers are doing their job...and if you hold the opposition to fewer than 4 runs you should win if your batters are doing their job.

Yea but the scoring came when they were already behind. They also can't go getting hits like last night and the people who were supposed to drive them in looks worse than the non-hitting rookies.

I hear what you are saying, but if you score 6 runs you should win that game regardless of whether you score early or late.

Players like Gattis who in reality has had only one good month and the occasional couple games. Other than that he has been a drag on the offense. Gattis last 30 games 13 RBI's. Gurriel in his last 15 games has only 3 RBI. Springer in his last 30 games had 16 RBI's and in the last 15 games it was 13. So for 15 games he only had 3 RBi's I didn't put Correa but he has less than 50- RBI on the Year and he is the Clean Up Hitter.
Teams don't usually win when your main players are putting up those kinds of numbers. They have had the lesser guys show up and PITCHING has been winning those games.

One of the few games that the Pitching didn't hold up and yet they still had the chance to pull it out and the Big Guns failed.

Gurriel should be on the bench and one of the Younger Guys playing.

Honestly, I don’t think the Astros offense is striking much fear in the opposing teams this year. If the offense doesn’t pick it up real soon, they could find themselves looking up at the A’s by month’s end.

I like Yuli at 2nd base and I feel Kemp in the leadoff spot helps this club not miss Altuve as much.

Correa casually walks back to the dugout after taking strike 3.

Gattis is the player we need to demote in order to see this team excel. Depending on him to be our cleanup guy kills our scoring opportunities. When he has good games we benefit. But he has four to five times as many bad games which stagnates our offense.

Correa casually walks back to the dugout after taking strike 3. Correa has the ARod approach to hitting. It's like he tries to be patient at the plate but misses pitches right down the middle. Then walks to the dugout after a k like "oh well". I don't have to see him breaking his bat but I want to see that fire to be better.

Same old Carlos........stand in the box.......look stupid taking strikes.........walk back to the dugout. His act was old before he went on the DL.

What is really scary is that the Player everyone was Knocking has more RBI's than one other player in the last 7 games. That other established player has been on most people Crap list for a while. Marwin 6 White 5

IMO getting Springer back just like Correa being back isn't going to fix this offense. The needed to address this before the trade DL and nothing was done. They have 4-6 players underperforming and no sign of them coming out of it.
