Not sure they’ll make it either. But even if they do I think the stop sign is Boston. I don’t think they’ll get by them, if they get that far. Astros will win this division with over 98 wins. No way Oak or Seattle hits that mark.
Boston and Yankees will play in the div series and if the Yanks win then Houston would still get HFA (which isn't saying much figuring their struggles at home right now)
I wouldn’t rush out and put a lot of money on that.

Do you share the drugs you have been using? Unless they right the ship now they will not be playing in the playoffs.

I really want to Know how Luhnow and Hinch thought they should just stay with the same team from Last Year. It was plain as day they needed to improve in two or three areas. They had the chance to and didn't make a move. Was that Luhnow relying on Hinch input or all on Luhnow holding on to his precious little Prospects? Who only one of them has started to show they want to play with the Big Club. Look at the bright side, Luhnow still has his damn prospects. LOL

I wouldn't bet either way.... Smart man. One thing that is a sure bet.........Hinch will go totally by those charts no matter what. He keeps putting that half-assed defense out there and it cost him tonight. Gurriel has NO business playing second base. Sometimes, you have to ignore which side of the plate a guy hits from and put a defense on the field. With Altuve out, Marwin or Kemp should play second base. With Springer and Jake both on the DL, Fisher should be in CF.

Why doesn't anyone ever complain about our starting pitchers immediately giving up runs in the very next inning after the hitters give us the lead?

The hunger to win that first championship is something that I believe just comes natural to every player. Once players have satisfied that hunger for a championship, few are driven by a hunger...a need...to be the champion every year. That quality does not just come naturally to every player. It is a gift. Only the great ones...the special ones...have it. That gift allows a player to refuse to lose...to step up and carry a team at the most crucial times...to drag a team up when things are headed downward. Very few possess that gift. Altuve has it. Verlander has it.
Bregman, I believe, has it buried away within him and it may surface again once he gets over himself. The same can be said for Correa. He would like to think he has it. Right now he doesn’t. He is great when things are going good, but when things are going badly for the rest of the team, he doesn’t refuse to lose.., he doesn’t step up and lead them out of the abyss. MVP? If you want to know who the team’s most valuable position player is, check their record with Altuve in the lineup and Correa on the DL and compare that to their record with Correa in the lineup and Altuve on the DL.
The heart of the Astros is missing. He is on the DL. If the team is going to right the ship, he is going to have to be in the lineup.

He may be undisciplined, but he can pull a hit out of his ass on the ugliest pitch. This uppercut swing approach that teams worship is hurting the Astros, in my opinion. It’s home runs or weak flies and grounders. If there were more line drives, we’d be fine. It’s sad baseball we’re watching now.

Olpapa hit the nail on the head with Correa, though, and that’s my problem with him.

I get on Altuve about mental errors, but, that doesn't change the fact that he is the heart and soul of this team........Correa is a long way from being in his league. Jake Marisnick is an energizer and is missed when he's gone even though he had only recently been contributing with his bat. Correa wasn't doing much before going on the DL and looks like he still isn't ready. Altuve is probably jumping out of his skin to get back as is Springer. We had guys to look bad striking out and that has been Correa's main contribution this season. I am sure I'll get blasted for this but he hasn't been the same since he proposed on TV after they won the WS. While he was in CC "rehabbing", his fiance was down there with him and all the media thought is was great that he hit her a foul ball. He hasn't nit many foul balls since coming back......mostly whiffs.

You can’t fault a man for going big on a proposal.

You can’t fault a man for going big on a proposal. no,but, letting it affect his job performance for the next year is his fault.

Granted Jose changed his approach to hitting from his rookie year until now. Sometimes you wish he would go back to his old school way of hitting driving the ball the other way. His approach to chasing balls out of the zone is nothing new to some of the greatest hitters in the game, such as Roberto Clemente and Vladimir Guerrero.
