Big out there. Lowrie loves to torment the Astros. I actually don’t remember him doing anything this series.

No urgency with Hinch.

I just don’t get why you leave the next reliever with a scary situation.

Nope it’s homerun friendly Brad Peacock.

I wish Brad well but I wouldn’t bring him in. Where’s Joe Smith?

bleacherreport.com/articles/1639658-explaining-why-the-bunt-is-foolish-in-todays-mlb That's an article that gives some of the reasons we often don't see bunts in traditional bunting situations. I like the idea of bunting against the shift, and in a few other situations where there is a high GIDP risk or a good chance of catching the defense off guard. It would be interesting to see how the past 30 or so WS championship teams have ranked against their competitors in terms of tendency to bunt. Are championship teams likely to have a strong bunting game, or more likely to swing away? That's what I'd like to know.

Peacock seems a little unhinged.

I’m curious as to why Hinch put in the homer risky Peacock to relieve Verlander.

The Astros' 3 hardest-hit balls so far tonight:
Marwin's single (107 mph) White's single (106.3 mph) Marwin's lineout (106 mph)
Good to see Marwin hitting the ball sharply. The defense will sometimes make a good play on one, but he will have consistent success if he can keep on swninging the bat like he's doing today.
