That was the poster who said Stay Thirsty... I can't remember the posters name, but that dude had a run on that quote for quite awhile on the old board. No one can remember his name but that dude always said that at the end of almost every post. Every once in a great while he had a good slant on something. |

Just tuning in....got me wine on....who in the hell is this pitcher. Framber Valdez started the season at AA Corpus and was recently promoted to AAA where he appeared in 2 games before he got called up. The first time I recall seeing the guy was in ST 2017. He looked like he had potential then. He needs to develop some consistency. Right now he is like Forrest Gump’s box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get from him. Could be very good or very bad from one game to the next. For example: April 17- 3 IP, 9 H, 6 ER, 1 BB, 2 K April 23 - 6 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 7 K April 29 - 3 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 7 K May 5 - 3 IP, 2 H, 4 ER, 5 BB, 4 K May 11 - 5 IP, 8 H, 5 ER, 3 BB, 9 K May 16 - 7 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 8 K From June 22 - July 30 he had a run of 5 consecutive games in which he pitched a total of 26.1 innings, gave up a total of 1 ER, walked a total of 6 and struck out a total of 39. Before he went on that run he had a 1.2 inning, 4 hit, 3 ER, 1 walk, 0 K outing on June 17. After that run, in his final appearance at AA on August 4, he pitched 1.2 innings, allowed 4 hits, 4 runs, walked 1 and struck out 4. In his 2 appearances at AAA he pitched a total of 8.2 innings, allowed 8 hits, 4 ER, walked 3 and struck out 9. |

Well so I was wrong about a big game, but we did win and Peacock did technically shut them down....

With Framber: Everytime he threw a pitch last night, it made me want to duck. I could never tell where the ball was going.

I think it was because Altuve is back even though he didn't do much. I'll be curious to compare our winning percentages this with Springer, Correa, and Altuve all out and see the difference. |
