Great White at it again. Sure is nice to see him in the Lineup on a daily basis. Hinch has to play him now. Added that insurance run.

Get 'er done, Uncle Charlie! When is the last time we won two games in a row? I'm taking Altuve's lineout in his last AB yesterday to be a sign of big things to come.... Things worked out so I can come home today and watch the game...I am going to fire up the Weber, get the coals going soon...Technically the Astros have never lost in 3 years when I grilled on the Weber...well one time, but I didn't the grill going before the first pitch...so I am very confident they will win...we need b2b wins against a good team... Burgers Time!!! Thank you Weber power!

White lacked only a double today to hit for the cycle.
He still stubbornly clings to the Top 5 hitters in MLB ranked by OPS... if only he had enough PAs to qualify for the leaderboards.

I think we're seeing our top-5 take shape in the lineup when Springer gets back.

That was on Hinch, not playing him regularly. Kept putting in Gattis and Marwin, Reddick. White has done nothing but produce since he has been in the lineup.

I remember a couple years back when Reed was our stud prospect and White was this no name guy whose numbers were right there with the studs numbers every day when I looked at our minor league teams’ results each day. White has worked his tail off and made himself a ML ball player. I’m still looking at the stud’s numbers each day when I check the minor league results.

Hey when was the last time the Astros had 17+ hits in a game. Had to be well before the All-Star break. Every Astro batter has at least one hit today, except for the MVP.

White's groundout to 3B today was the second-hardest-hit ball in play produced by the Astros today at over 105 mph... Statcast says that a ball hit that hard, at that location, etc. ends up going for a hit 62% of the time. Had it gotten through, it likely would have been the double Tyler needed for the cycle.

Nice inning by Osuna. No Drama can't remember the last time that was the case when the team had a Save situation.

While it seems unlikely, if Maldonado can stay hot through the postseason, that would be huge.

I think we're seeing our top-5 take shape in the lineup when Springer gets back. Tyler White is now showing that he belongs to stay with the Astros and not go back to Fresno. He needs to be the DH, but, I fully expect Hinch to keep running Gattis out there once in awhile. White could also play first if Gurriel doesn't hit. By the first of September, we could have McCann and Marisnick back and have a full, healthy roster. They probably bring Tucker and Perez back, too. White has definitely earned his spot in the lineup.

He can hit the ball hard. Oso goneo next yearo Gurriel better get his stuff together or he may be riding the pine if we trade for another guy. I think he may just need to be pushed, that is of course if he is healthy. Hard to tell with him.

....and now for the post-game wrapup.Take it away Corch! Coach- "Yeah...*cough* it was a good game. We inserted White in there because *cough* I felt like all the ribbing I've been doing on him has finally *cough* paid off. I still prefer Gattis though as I feel he is a better hitter.... even though his average and rate is not good, I like his HR hugs. There I said it- that is why I like Gattis because Kemp gives him the best hugs. You happy now? *cough* I mean. Good game! Coach out!"
