Arizona’s bullpen is having issues again vs. Seattle. 5-2 Arizona in the 9th. Bases loaded no outs.

Seattle loses 5-2. They could be 6 1/2 out with an Astro W.

I don't see any rush to bring back McCullers. Let this Framber kid stick in the rotation a while.

SWEEP! 80-50 on the season. Osuna pitched well. All inside pitches too. Had one of them hit Ohtani, that would've cleared the benches. I'm glad Osuna took that chance. But he needs to calm down and stop hitting people.

SWEEP! 80-50 on the season. Osuna pitched well. This isn't the first or second time they were 30 over .500. It seems everytime they get here they fall back. Seem to have an issue with that. though they were 32 over at one point before they lost all the games at home.

Big win.....going home with a 5 game winning streak and a 1.5 game lead over the A's. It is vital that we go home ready to play........we have not done well in first games of home stands and we have been terrible at home recently. I have a feeling with Altuve back in the lineup that we are ready for the A's. Springer pinch hitting today probable means he is in the lineup tomorrow. I wish Hinch would Keep Bregman in the leadoff spot but, I am not counting on it. We are doing well with Alex in that spot so why change? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I imagine Kemp goes back to the bench as he has not had a good trip with the bat. I expect an OF of Marwin-Springer-Reddick most of the time. When McCann is activated, I think Stassi can get used to a lot of bench time. He has gradually gotten worse. I think Hinch pinch hit for him today because he wanted Maldonado to come in to catch Osuna in the 9th. Biggest home series of the year coming up. Hinch needs to visit with Correa on the plane trip home to ask him to please get some rest tonight even if hoochie mama has fresh sheets on the bed and champagne on ice. He needs to produce on the field. pull his share of the load, and earn his spot in the batting order.

It depends on how many are on the Road to go very far in the playoffs we need to figure out how to win at home. Currently there are six players with OPS>.750 at home: White Bregman Kemp Altuve Springer Gurriel and it's looking iffy as to how much Springer will be able to play. But those guys definitely need to be in home game lineups when possible. Moustakas would have been a good add as he's always hit well at MMP. The catchers (ALL of them), Gattis, and Correa are all particularly bad at home. Either those guys turn it around, or the team has to rely on shut-down pitching.

I like the idea of finishing the season with four games against Baltimore.

I think at this point you can throw OPS, WAR, and that other stuff out the window. I don't think it is still "iffy" that Springer is able to play or he would not have been used in today's game. Kalas and Blum expect him in the lineup tomorrow. My main concern is Correa........he is just not producing as he needs to...He is too tentative at the plate
Marwin seems to have turned it around and White is producing. The key is getting Correa turned around because Hinch will have him in there if he goes 0-30. I think George is ready........hope I'm right. I expect McCann, Marisnick, and Devenski to be activated Sept. 1 and Tucker recalled along with an arm or two. And, there is still time for Luhnow to add some depth. This home stand should be interesting.

I like the idea of finishing the season with four games against Baltimore. That is a good place to finish. After they leave Houston, the A's have four with the Mariners, three with the Yankees. and three with Arlington all at home. They have series at Baltimore but also three in Tampa Bay and close at Seattle and LA.

LOL complaining about your team losing a few games when they reach 30 games over .500. 😂 😆

I forgot to mention Valdez....another great job. He doesn't appear to be the least bit intimidated. He had a 2-0 week and I'm sure has earned a start at home next week against the Angels.
Hinch said in the post game that he expects Springer in the lineup tomorrow........a very good sign.

I haven't heard anymore negative comments about Osuna being here. Luhnow made a steal of a deal bringing in a solid, young closer under club control for awhile in excchange for a certified psycho like Giles.

Right now he is charged with a crime, he is not guilty of one. If he is convicted then he needs to be cut from the team. Pretty simple really. There are not many things I value more than another championship but my values and my moral code sit above a championship.

We play the A's the next three games. If we sweep them then we have a 4 1/2 game lead. If we win 2 of 3 then we have a 2 1/2 game lead. if we win 1 of the 3 we have a 1/2 game lead. If we get swept again by them then we are down by 1 1/2 game. Let's sweep these yo yos and put some distance on them.

It seems like the A’s are overdue to lose a series. I think Houston wins the series.
