Good win. They can't all be blowouts. Clutch hit by Correa, another great appearance by Framber, and the bullpen did what we need it to do.
Plus, no injuries!

I credit Correa for the great at bat when he drove in the two runs.....then, it was right back to the same crap that has caused his lack of production. We may have a keeper in Valdez

I haven't heard anymore negative comments about Osuna being here. Luhnow made a steal of a deal bringing in a solid, young closer under club control for awhile in excchange for a certified psycho like Giles. I like Osuna closing right now. Right now he is charged with a crime, he is not guilty of one. If he is convicted then he needs to be cut from the team. Pretty simple really. There are not many things I value more than another championship but my values and my moral code sit above a championship. I am pretty sure Luhnow knew he is very unlikely to be convicted before he made the deal. Lots of things could happen........the female could drop the charges for any number of reasons or he is found not guilty.

Really kind of hard to lose a deal when you trade a poor performing head case for someone who may not be a poor excuse for a male human being. On one hand you have someone who has no value to your team and on the other you have someone who may have value.

Problem solved- Make sure Springer, Bregman and Altuve always get on base before he gets an AB.

Concerning Osuna:
The PR was driven by a video that wasn't even him. It's back to an unknown truth about what actually happened.
There are things from as subtle as whether an act was intentional or an accident to blatent as following a lawyers advice to extract $ from him or an actual violent assault.
But PR doesn't care about the truth, only that everyone be outraged and ACT on the charge because it does happen to some people some time.
I'm not entirely comfortable with the justice system being the arbiter of truth, but it's the best we have until Judgement Day when we face an ALL KNOWING and JUST GOD.

From MLBTR:
“George Springer will be in the Astros’ starting lineup tomorrow, manager A.J. Hinch told reporters (including Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle).”
Well it was great watching a legitimate leadoff type hitter batting #1 for the Astros during the recent winning streak. Now the Astros come home and we get to watch George swing from his heels trying to pull every pitch into the Crawford boxes, rather than trying to get on base for the guys behind him to drive him in.

Springer should be hitting 6th or 7th in the order but I have no hope it will actually happen.

As well as we are doing with Bregman leading off, Hinch would be wrong to change it,but, if I had to bet on it, Sprnger will be leading off...........probably because the "charts" say that is the way to go.

Our society is being driven to react to the seriousness of the charges versus guilt and innocence. Osuna needs to play until judgement is rendered. Then my opinion on what to do with him will change based upon the facts as they are presented and ruled upon.

Correa cleaning up is a BAD move at the present time.

You are correct sir, although right now neither Springer nor Correa deserves to be batting in the any of the top 4 spots in the order based on what they have done this season.

Yeah, and bases loaded is the only situation that Altuve is bad at.

He's finally looking better since Altuve got back. Hitting over .300.

Whatever they do with Springer, I just hope he wears his big boy pants against the A’s this series.

Manaea is now on the DL, which is a good thing.

Manaea is now on the DL, which is a good thing. We get Anderson, Jackson, and Cahill.......We send Cole, Morton, and Keuchel against them. Pitcing matchups should favor the Astros. The key is if the offense can score at home the way we did on the road trip. If they come home adn play like they have for the last couple of home stands, we have a problem. If they can't be motivated and concentrate on the A's, it will tell us a lot about them. We need Correa to start playing like he's capable. I wish I knew Bregman will still be leading off, but, I will be shocked if Springer isn't in that spot, which I think would be a bad move by Hinch.

The A's have gotten crazy good performance out of Fiers and Edwin Jackson so far this year. Those guys are just not that good. With Manaea going down those two guys have to do well for the A's to stay up with the Astros. You have to think that sooner or later that things will catch up to them and we will put some distance between us. Now having said that the Astros still have to win. Our record over the last couple of months has been nothing to write home to mama about so we need to step it up and do what we should be doing. Odds will catch up to the A's before everything is said and done.
