The "true fans" comment goes back to waastro on the old board. It's just a joke. Relax people. And to think, I wished Waastro Merry Christmas.

I said all along that we needed an Andrew Miller type shutdown reliever. Not a closer. Giles could have (did) closed out wins fine. We needed a reliever for random tough situations. Osuna isn't that guy either. I know people don't like the idea of "closers" and such, but it's apparent with most teams that bullpens do better with more set type roles. I think Pressly is pretty good. I do too. But we're using him as a 7th inning guy.

No one wants the moment as much as Bregman. Case in point: the voyeur Correa on offense. And he never learns......never changes a thing. He goes to the plate with no plan at all. Stands there like a damn fool with the lead run on second base. He and Altuve killed this offense tonightl plus Marwin had bad at bats. Why can't Correa figure out that what he is doing isn't working.......Just evidence that he is either too stubborn to change or just too dumb. In some ways, Correa's intellect reminds me of another Carlos..........Gomez. Whoa whoa whoa. Let’s not make THAT big of a leap.

I think Pressly is pretty good. I do too. But we're using him as a 7th inning guy. He’s got the best stuff, in my opinion. I think Hinch jumped the gun on Osuna. There was no easing into the role. The man was gone for 3 months.

We all complain about this. I’m glad you finally get it. It's not that I don't get it. I understand the frustration. In the course of an AB and a game and a season, there will be plenty of times hitters don't do what we want them to do. The criticism of Correa comes not from a singular at-bat but from witnessing a pattern of his staring down strikes that he should crush. It’s the exact opposite problem that Altuve has at times.

That's something you see with most power guys trying to work walks and get pitches to elevate. It's a frustrating approach, but, if he can perfect it, could pay off down the road with more power and a good OBP. Or could be he's just having a down year and/or last year was a fluke and he isn't a .900+ OPS guy. *shrug*

If Morton had done his job in their three-run inning..........two outs, 0-2 count to Lowrie, walks Lowrie, hits Davis, throws hanger to Olsen, Olsen deposits it off the upper deck, 3-0 A's all ofter two outs and 0-2 count. So, don't blame this on Osuna. He didn't pitch great but Morton had blown the game by the 5th inning. Then, Altuve's horrible at bats with runners on base, followed by useless Carlos also added to it. Bregman can't win games by himself, but, then he shows plate discipline instead of strolling up to the plate and hacking away at the first pitch he sees to kill innings or hand it off the Correa to stand their with his head up his ass and strike out. My guess is that the wimp is the first guy out of the clubhouse every night after a home game. And, since you continue to either lie about Osuna or you are too dense to know the difference between "wife" and "girlfriend", I'll say it again.........Osuna CANNOT be a wife-beater since he has never been married. He has also not been convicted of beating anybody. Again, I'm sorry to insult your wifebeater. Multiple players did something wrong that hurt the team yesterday. That's why it's a team sport. Blaming some that screwed up and not others is about the dumbest thing I can think of. No, the dumbest thing that I can think of is you continuing to call a man who has never been married a wife beater. But, then what else should we expect from a guy who can't form an opinion without consulting stats like WAR and OPS. I pointed out that Osuna would have never been in position to have a bad inning if not for the terrible job Morton did of finishing off the inning when he handed the A's three runs. Then, Altuve once again was over aggressive in swinging at the rist pitch and killed two innings where we had the chance to take the lead. But, since I don't hammer Osuna.........who you continue to slander by calling him a wife beater when not only has he never had a wife but has not been convicted of anything. Since you can't seem to grasp the fact that Osuna is not a wife beatr and that if a pitcher is responsible for blowing the game, that pitcher would be Morton, not Osuna. The fact that you seem too dense to comprehend that is about the dumbest thing I can think of.

......, you don’t catch any flack for being critical because those who might be tempted to be critical of you being critical aren’t critical of your criticism because they know it would be futile to criticize your being critical? That is .. AWESOME. I'm going to memorize it and blow the room away at my next speech
