Don't get me wrong Keuchel has been really good this year. I just don't like Keuchel in this situation. The A's battle and can foul a lot of those borderline pitches off until they get one to their liking.

I'm hoping for a big offensive game from Springer. He is due for some dingers. Something doesn’t look right with him. I love that he’s drawing walks, but he almost looks like he’s going for walks instead of trying to hit good pitches. Maybe that thumb injury is taking some of that confidence away. |

On the encouraging side, law of averages would lead us to believe that Stassi, Gurriel, Kemp, Reddick, and Correa are all due for some signs of life today. And Keuchel has been excellent since the all-star break.

We will win if someone other than just Bregman decides to wear the pants on offense. I hope we don't have to depend on Correa to drive in key runs or we are out of luck. We have to wonder about The how much rest he got prior to reporting for duty. I am sure his pants have been off most of the time since he got home maybe he may have them on today. He has been basicall useless since his return........hitting in the area of .180....and striking out at a very high rate, mostly from standing in the box looking very confused and indecisive. |
