How close is white to having enough PAs/ABs to be ranked as a batter? I think you need 3.1 ABs for every game your team has played to qualify. So he's 293 ABs short

How close is white to having enough PAs/ABs to be ranked as a batter? I believe the requirement is 3.1 at-bats per game the team has played which works out to a minimum of 502 at-bats in a 162 game season. I could be wrong though.

with 29 games left to go he will most likely get somewhere between 100 and 125 more at bats depending on how many times he is penciled into the lineup, so he will only make it about half way.

Tyler's gonna slump at some point and that's what a lot fans will say when it happens. It's going to be interesting if he can continue to take walks like a pro when his average drops. What's even more to his advantage is the bar has been set so low with the pedestrian numbers the organization has put up with at DH during the Hinch era I hope some of the struggling teammates who've been here a little longer are chatting him and Bregman up about plate approach right now

Altuve's trying to get 200 hits. Someone should tell him to stop

Just saw the game on tape delay. What a game, what a way for Tyler to walk it off. Would NOT be surprised to see Tyler be the ALDS, ALCS, or WS MVP.

Very unusual for him to look as bad as he did today.......never struck out 4 times in a game before today. I doubt if it happens again. If Correa had this kind of game, I would not be surprised, What is so frustrating about watching Carlos be as bad as he has is we know he is MUCH better than he is showing,

It is pretty impressive what Oakland has accomplished this year with a bunch of young guys and a AAA starting rotation. Their manager definitely deserves some consideration for the MOY award.

Their manager definitely deserves some consideration for the MOY award. But their team isn't that young and they don't have a AAA starting rotation... Their youngest everyday player is Olson at 24 and their youngest starters are Mengden, Manaea, and Montas at 25-26 (all with 2 previous years of partial MLB experience). They have a couple of late bloomers in Olson and Chapman, but they also have very experienced veterans in Lowrie, Davis, Semien, Canha, Piscotty, etc. Their bullpen is full of ex-all-star relievers, and four of their starters this year are over 30 years of age. If Melvin gets credit for anything, in my opinion, it's for getting the most out of some of the lesser known players. A lineup with Lowrie, Davis, Semien, Olson, and Chapman is going to have a ton of power and draw a lot of walks, and when you can go to the bullpen in the 6th inning to shut most teams down (not us), you've got a hell of a team. I'd have to go with Cash for MOY. He's got absolute crap of a lineup to put out there, and is doing some truly unique things to pull out victories in the 2nd toughest division in baseball.

They have a good lineup. Yes they do. Especially that Laureano guy. It would be nice if we could develop a young outfielder like that. Oh...wait...nevermind.

I'm mixed on Hinch but you seem to downright dislike him. What do you not like about his decisions?
