Three things got us the loss:
1. Keuchel. 2. No running game once again. 3. Yuli didn’t get the ball in the air.

We were fortunate to come back after Keuchel dug us a deep hole.
This is twice the replays have screwed us....the one in Oakland and this one. No way in hell was Jose out and every replay showed it.
It's hard to blame Rondon after the scoring chances we blew late.....that DP that Reddick hit into was a killer. Then, we had terrible at bats against Kimbrell. But, on the bright side, we sent the Red Sox a message that we are still the champs until someone beats us and we showed them that we can beat them. We won the season series 4-3. What we have to do is go to Detroit and beat them.
Bright spots were some good at bats from Altuve and Correa. I was scared of Keuchel pitching to their lineup and he proved me right.....unfortunately.

Pulled a Gomez and didn’t dive. That is why I don't like Marwin in LF. It turned out that using Jake as a PR kept us from having our best outfield in the game when we needed it. I think Reddick would have caught that ball.

Pretty impressive how Sipp got out of that jam and saved McHugh's ass. Or at least his ERA...
I thought the Reddick GIDP in the 8th was a turning point. Two runners on base who could have scored the go-ahead and insurance runs, but, welp.
But generally speaking, if the SP gives up 5 runs to this team, it's going to be a tough night. And it was.

Whoa, I just saw the replay. That was egregious for Marwin not to dive on that fly ball. He had nothing to lose. Hinch couldn’t have liked seeing that.

Why aren’t the runners going against a knuckleballer? They’re either aggressive or they’re not.

Is there any reason Derek Fisher isn't on the September roster? He could have pinch run, saving Marisnick for the defense.

I have seen that replay 4 times now and I get angrier each time. Marwin made NO EFFORT at all and that is inexcusable. Using Jake as a pinch runner ended up costing us. Marwin had no clue what to do and it cost us the game.

Altuve was clearly safe. Imagine if that was game 7 of the ALCS? Who decides on these challenges? Is it one person? Obviously they need a different pair of glasses.
Marwin has done that before on fly balls. Won't dive. I haven't looked at the replay yet but I still see the play in my mind.
As a player you have to forget and move on. Lets hope it gives the team more incentive to win back to back WS.

It seems to me that replay/review process in MLB worked better when it was first initiated than it does now. I’m wondering if there is a different crew or person in NY conducting the reviews now. - OlPapa

I agree with Pops. When we first saw replays, it was simpler. When the play was refuted via replay, it was reversed. When it was still a bit murky, the call stood. In Oakland, it was still not so clear until there was an argument made that the outfield camera showed Laureano as safe. That was reversed. In the Altuve case, there was the brown of the dirt showing between himself and León while he touched the plate. Definitive proof led to the call being confirmed. There is no consistency in their replay rulings.
The Astros dugout and ESPN both thought Altuve was safe for what it’s was worth.

If they truly want a more expansive replay, they need the camera drones like in football.

I’m wondering if Kemp would’ve caught it. Possibly. What I have wondered is if Hinch wanted to pinch run for White, why not use Kemp as the pinch runner so he would have had Jake to play CF in the late innings. Then, we had our best OF of Reddick-Jake-George.
