The networks....especially mlb network.....are talking about what a terrible job of umpiring it was on that play. Every replay clearly showed Altuve with his hand on the plate, and, if a tag was made, it was late. This leaves me to believe there could very well be bias involved here. Who are the replay officials who make the decisions on the replays? I know it sounds like sour grapes but it could lead us to believe that these replay officials are not entirely impartial and could favor teams in big TV markets. The media is still smarting over the Astros taking out the Red Sox, Yankees, and Dodgers......all from big TV markets.
Replay officials stole a win from the Astros in Oakland and again last night. Problem is the Astros have no recourse and have to accept it. NO way in hell was Jose out.

The one last night was dead wrong.

I’m wondering if Kemp would’ve caught it. Possibly. What I have wondered is if Hinch wanted to pinch run for White, why not use Kemp as the pinch runner so he would have had Jake to play CF in the late innings. Then, we had our best OF of Reddick-Jake-George. Marwin has a pretty good arm...but maybe has too much confidence in it ..because he acted like catching a bounce off the ground barehanded like a SS, and making a perfect throw to the plate was the better idea....as opposed to just try to catch the dang ball.....we know Kemp at least knows his arm sucks, so he would have tried to catch the ball.

Looking at the walk-off hit, Marwin could have caught that ball. It dropped right in front of him. WTF?

I've wondered if he lost track of the outs and thought that diving would have permitted the runner at third to tag and score. It's the best explanation I have for not diving for the ball in that situation.
