Marisnick finding his swing again. That is good. Don’t be fooled. It’s how he became the starting CF in ‘15.

Marisnick finding his swing again. That is good. Is it really? Sure what can it hurt, we know he is coming back up, so why not be happy that he is going to be coming back with some sense of confidence. Tucker needs to go back down before they destroy his.

Can we put Beer on the do not trade list too? I hope so.I would like to see him promoted to High A for the rest of this season. It’s obvious he can handle A ball pitchers.

We don't normally see McCurry pitch for 3 innings. To do so scorelessly, and with the crazy "Free Runner at 2nd" rule, is quite impressive.
McCurry is starting to look more like the pitcher we saw in spring training.

McCurry is starting to look more like the pitcher we saw in spring training. I wish Deetz could harness his control. The guy hasn’t allowed an earned run and is averaging just shy of 2 K’s per inning pitched at AAA....unfortunately he is averaging just shy of a walk per inning pitched. That won’t gitter done in the big league.

As it is he would be a good guy to bring into a second and third one out situation, just not a bases loaded one.

I still think Reed is a Justin Smoak kind of prospect. He needs to get some discipline and trim another 20 lbs of jelly off that frame of his and he might develop into something. They were making a big deal of his off season weight loss and he definitely looked better but he still does not look like a professional athlete. I am pulling for him, hate for us to have two #1 first base prospects go up in flames. I thought I was alone on Reed...he sure makes it hard to be a supporter. Reed reminds me of Brett Wallace and I don't have fond memories of him.

Did you access the Prospect list via Astros.com? I have seen times when they would update the list at MLB.com and the prior list would still be posted on Astros.com for a while before it was updated. It looks like both sites are updated now. To access the Astros (or any other teams) current Top 30 prospect list on mlb.com click on “players” on the home page as if you are going to do a player search. When you get to the player search page look above the search window used for typing the player’s name to do an active player search. You will see a bar and one of the options on that bar is “prospects.” Click on “prospects” and you can access the Top 30 prospects by team..., Top 10 ML-wide by Position.., Top 100 in Baseball, etc. If you click on Top 30 by team you will get the most up-to-date list if there happens to be a difference between the list at Astros.com and the one at MLB.com.

It's time for Framber to live up to his reputation. I wouldn't mind seeing him with the Astros in September. If he does well and has a good spring, maybe he breaks camp with the team in 2019.

Beer not in the lineup tonight. Isn't there a rule that says a team cannot trade newly-drafted rookie players during the first 12 months with the drafting team? I would think Beer cannot be traded until July 2019. Maybe I understand the rule wrong.

I would think Beer cannot be traded until July 2019. Maybe I understand the rule wrong. That was the old rule, they changed it because of how the Trea Turner trade came about a couple of years ago.
