Have we forgotten that the man homered in his last at-bat? So did Kirk Gibson in that famous WS ab, and we know what condition he was in.

Just read where Bryant turned down a $200M extension with flubs. There may be hope for the boy after all.

If Altuve received a $150 million extension for 5-years and Hosmer got $145 million for 8-years, I expect both of them to get offers of $250+ million for 7-9 years. (And probably substantially more.) Those are both guys that could be built around for several years before offensive production tails off.
Harper is 25 years old and you're practically guaranteed a .900 OPS and 30 HR/10 SB on average per year he is signed. (With the possibility of much more on offense.) The question for him would be what type of effort do you get from him on defense and are you okay with his diva-ness on occasion.
Bryant is the better all-around player with a more likable attitude, but the last couple years he hasn't been producing well in RBI situations and this year he had health issues.

Milwaukee is absolutely f'ing up right now with Hader going this many pitches in game #1.
This reminds me of the Dodgers doing this in the World Series with their bullpen for game #1. Game #2, The Astros measured up Jansen to tie it and win it in extras.
2 innings and keeping him mysterious would have been appropriate (especially with a 4 run lead late). This will come back to haunt the Brewers. The Dodgers will figure Hader out and even if Milwaukee advances, Hader will be spent for the World Series.

Soria and jeffries nearly cost them the game. The Brewers can be thankful for another of Kershaw's post-season tank jobs..........he is the most over-rated pitcher in the game.

Amazing to see LAD throw 18 of their 25 players into today's game. Quite a way to use the whole team.
13 pitchers in one game? I'm sure I've seen it before, but good Lord...

Muncy, a non-roster invitee to Dodgers spring training this year, comes through big for them.
That would have been like Anthony Gose becoming a key piece of the Astros bullpen in 2018.
While Gose ended up being a rather predictable dud, Rondon had an ERA over 7.70 in spring training this year and then became a reliable bullpen arm for most of the season.
I got to think that Rondon is going to dazzle in the postseason just like he surprised us after that dismal spring.

This is where pitching Hader for 3 innings yesterday kills the Brewers. It's a 1 run game and yet it feels like the Dodgers will score more soon to win.

Gio Gonzalez could have easily went 3 to 4 innings, Woodruff for 2 and Harder for 2 would have given the game over to Jeffers for the win.
You still would have had Hader available for an inning today with an off day coming up.

Which I'm happy with. I would love to face the Brewers in the World Series but want them beat up first. A long series would do that
