Does Straw just teleport over I had hoped he would steal 3B so that Jake would have a chance at a sac fly RBI. Also wanted to see Cole out for the 8th but it all worked out well in the end.

That outfield defense for the Astros in the 9th wasn’t likely to let anything drop in. Straw, Jake and George. That’s pretty stout. We have seen in both games why Straw is on the roster. He can literally steal us a run.

6 hits in 2 games for Cleveland. Isn’t Morton pitching Monday? l think Keuchel is pitching Monday...I had rather have Morton. Me too. Astros better score more than 3 like today.

The plate umpire squeeze Osuna after giving Hand a strike on Jake that wasn't close to the zone. Correa does a great job at SS but is useless at the plate. His last at bat was about as bad as it gets. Marwin came up big today as did Bregman. And, how do you describe Cole's job today other than awesome.

Astros outscore the Indians 10 to 3 over the two games... overall the team should hit better in Cleveland.

Since we are up 2-0, I won't be as nervous with Keuchel pitching because there is no way we can lose the series in Cleveland. Our pitching is deeper than theirs and we have beaten their top two starters.

If he can hit a lick at this level, his days in the minors are over. I trust they teach him to be an excellent bunter to take full advantage of that speed.

Yankees vs Red Sox game on now. As much as I hate the Yankees, I hate Price more. If the Yankees win just one game in the series, I hope it is tonight vs Price.

Reddick split DH/OF split player.

I thought Yuli had something there. I felt so bad for Yuli. He stung the ball hard for the most part and had nothing to show for it.

Listening to Eckersly call the game is like listening to Bill and Ted's excellent adventure HAHA At least he’s interesting. That play-by-play guy is so dull.

BOOM! Up 2-0 before Keuchel pitches. Couldn't have asked for a better start to the series That is the situation they needed to be in before Keuchel toed the rubber.

Straw could really help make that happen.

Apparently Price got bounced in the 2nd inning and now the BoSox have a Brassiere on the mound.
I guess this is how the BoSox protest Kavanaugh?
May the Astros # (pound) them too!

After what I've seen from Marwin lately I predict they go all out to keep him. AJ will campaign for it.

Clevinger gave up HRs earlier this year to Springer and Bregman at least, maybe some others I don't remember.
Astros would do well to grind out some long ABs early on in Game 3 because Clevinger, like most pitchers, gets a lot more hittable from pitch 80 onward and the Indians don't have a very deep pen to go to.
If Clevinger reaches 80 pitches in the 5th inning, the Astros have a very good chance of putting a few runs on the board against him before facing the bullpen for 4 innings. That ought to bring in another 2 or 3 runs for 5 to 6 total.
If it were up to me, James would pitch the first as an "opening pitcher", Rays style, then Keuchel would enter in the 2nd. If James knows he only has one inning, he can air it out at 101-102 mph and I'd be highly surprised if they can hit it.

Here are the hitting results from the first two games of the HOU-CLE series. Pretty much everybody is pulling their weight... Gurriel and Correa haven't gotten the result they'd like so far, but they have each hit the ball well at times. In previous games this year vs Clevinger, the GIDP was a real problem, so elevating the ball like AJ said in Game 1 should be a priority.

mlb.com doesn't seem to have their 'batter vs pitcher' stats up yet so i found these on another site looks like Brantley (2 HRs in 24 career ABs vs Keuchel) might be the most dangerous Indians hitter tomorrow

By contrast, the Astros hit .299 with an .837 OPS against Clevinger in the two May games earlier this year.
