The main reason I always keep saying sign to OFs is because you never know in two years what Reddick will do. Reddick is only signed for two more years. I would plan ahead

Trade for Realmuto Trade for Goldshmidt Sign Evoildi Sign Cruz Trade Yuli Sign some complaintary pieces for the BP Sign Brantley and Avisail Garcia or Derek Dietrich always have a plan. It's not out of the Realm of possability. Been saying the same tune all along. I think they will explore moving Yuli if they get Goldschmidt. And if Tyler white is part of a deal for Goldy then Cruz would be a nice add. What the hell is a "complaintary" outfielder? ?? Yuli won't be traded. We don't need Garcia or your boy Dietrich. If we sign an outfielder,it should be a guy like McCutchen and not the scrubs you mentioned. If you are going to sign a FA, sign one who can actually contribute.

A complamentary OF is a guy who can start. But wont be outrageous in price. It's also a luxury as you wont have to worry about injury. Protection.
I think Straw takes Jake's spot even though they tender Jake from state farm still doesn't mean he cant be traded. Or even released if Straw out played him. U can gush over his def but his bat is poooooooopy.

I think he will develop, but, he hasn't shown he's ready to take over for Jake as a great defensive outfielder.

That maybe so. But Jake is on a shirt leash. As you can see from last year when he got sent down.
So if you trade Tucker. Sign Brantley to play LF And Sign Avisail Garcia or Derek Dietrich Your OF and Coverage on the Infield could be very good.
Plus you protect yourself from injury Reddick Brantley and Springer are not spring Chickens.
SPRINGER. CF REDDICK RF BRANTLEY LF
GARCIA IF SIGNED LF RF DH DIETRICH if signed LF RF 3B 1B STRAW OF

Dietrich and Garcia are not needed. I have no problem with Brantley, but, McCutchen is my choice.

The Mets and Mariners trader is official. Our turn to make some moves. 1. Sign Morton 2. Sign Cruz 3. Sign Ramos 4. Sign McCutchen. 5. Sign or trade for a starting pitcher.......signing Eovaldi is probably workable.

Eovaldi wouldn’t be my favorite choice but it makes the most sense so we don’t trade for a starter and lose Tucker or Whitley. Eovaldi could work as a #4 or #5 starter behind JV, Cole and Morton.

I think Morton goes to the Phillies.
Got a hunch. This is going to be a team to watch big time.

If Morton re-signs. I think he will. If not, then we have to probably sign someone and maybe even trade for a starter.

However, you are entitled to your opinion and can type away until your heart is content. I am not usually one to post or reply but I can no longer help it...”Wright” is a person’s name. “Right” is a direction or an expression confirming the affirmative. I believe in this case, the word you’re (bonus tip) looking for is “right”.

Some new news for you guys.
There are growing concerns on Wilson Ramos age and Injury past.
Alot of teams really seem to not wanna go over a two year deal in the neighborhood of 8 m per

Mariners are really gutting there team
Kyle Seager is the next player the Mariners are trying to push out the door. Might have to package him and Mitch Haniger togather to get a deal done.

From what I read, Keuchel is drawing interest from two bottom-feeding teams.......the Reds and the Bluejays. He probably thought all the contenders would be beating down his door.......When Corbin signs, we will probably see things start falling into place.

I have this gut feeling Keuchel will be back with us. if it's for no more than $15 million, I can live with it. I really hoped to get someone better. I like pitchers who can get K's to get out of trouble. I get sick of hearing Hinch say "Dallas is always one pitch away from a DP to get out of an inning" which translates into he is also one pitch away from disaster. I also keep having the feeling that Morton re-signs, too.

Just saw this on MLBTR:
“If the trade-happy Mariners have their way, third baseman Kyle Seager will be the next veteran to depart. The club’s willing to do “whatever it takes” to deal Seager, Buster Olney of ESPN writes (subscription required). Long one of the majors’ most underrated players, the 31-year-old Seager is coming off an uncharacteristically rough season and still has a guaranteed $57MM left on his contract. Seager’s presence is no longer needed in Seattle, which is rebuilding and trying to cut payroll, though it could be difficult to deal him on the heels of such a disappointing campaign. With that in mind, Olney suggests the Mariners could either swap Seager for another team’s unwanted contract or package him with one of their best remaining assets (Mitch Haniger or Jean Segura) to get his money off the books.”
I just looked at Seager’s contract info on Cots. In addition to the $57 million the Mariners owe him for the 2019-2021seasons, there is a $15 million club option (which could become $20 million if certain incentives are met) that becomes a player option if he is traded. No doubt the M’s will have to packsge him with Haniger or Segura...and probably eat some of his contract too... in order to trade him this offseason.

It actually makes sense for them to break it all down as they were not going to get it done over the next two years.
