Personally, I plan to occasionally read this site and chuckle at some of the trade proposals, guffaw at some of the comments, and wonder why some of the participants are not heavily medicated. Or, perhaps, they are heavily medicated and it's not working. |

Too be fair when Pitcher but 1 goes on the DL for months or even season ending injuries. The closer also goes down in April with TJ and starting 3B leaves with season ending shoulder surgery, and even the best player in baseball is out for a month. It makes for a difficult season.
On the plus side Ohtani proved all the critics wrong in their evaluation of him coming out of spring training. Even with his elbow injury he is still the leading candidate for ROY.

Not even close, we had more than 25 men on the DL, 15 on the DL at the same time and at least 7 out for the entire season. Sounds more to me like Marwin is a goner. If they let Marwin walk without working hard to negotiate a multi-year deal, Luhnow is nuts. Having him on the team allows them to carry an extra pitcher. He can play all infield positions plus the outfield, is a switch hitter with power from both sides.. He was paid $5.125 million this season. He is worth more than twice that amount and deserves a three-year deal. |
