We won't have to worry about that.........old bat-licker ain't coming here. I can't see him and Verlander in the same clubhouse. In fairness, Verlander shares the clubhouse with Osuna. Osuna is a prize compared to Puig. Puig is a pure asshole and idiot to go along with it.

What if Bauer, Harper, and Bregman played here together? Lord help us. I think Instagram would break. That is possible but highly doubtful.

Schwarber for one pitching prospect that isn't Whitley, James, or JB? Absolutely. Even being a bit one dimensional, the guy would be a very good DH and backup corner OFer when necessary. He also has some experience catching. The main thing would be could he maintain his 2018 OBP against lefties or would he be entirely useless against them? Worst case scenario you're getting a guy just as good as Gattis (but with more potential) and he's controllable and cheap for 3 years. Additional bonus, the guy has been very good in the postseason with an OPS over 1.000. I'd give them Cionel Perez or Framber Valdez for him.

Marlins trying real hard to maximize there return for J.T. Realmuto. SKYGODZ187Member New Astros have not been as aggressive as most figured. Including me. ATL/PHI/NYM seem to be the ones to watch for now. Sources: Still “in" on J.T.Realmuto: NYM, PHI, SD, ATL, TB….not as aggressive but “in” are LA, COL, Milw, Hous, CWS I would guess the Not as Aggrssive goup has offers on the table and have said I wont go over that amount. The Aggressive ones above I would bet arent close to those of below and two of which have to really really step up because there in the same division. We are not getting Realmuto or your boy, Dietrich.

My guess is that Miami overplayed their hand by demanding Tivker plus 2-3 more top 10 prospects and Luhnow just decided to let them keep him.

He will be traded this offseason the Marlins have to make that move. The common theme her is alot of teams have set there bid and are riding it out. ASTROS are one. Heyman has done said and Chris Marsh from the Miami sports bloggers page they know for a fact Kyle Tucker has been offered straight up for Realmuto. And that the Astros wont budge for anything more on that front.

As far as Stubbs he is 25 in AAA. I think he could get a shot if they move Stassi. I would like to see Stubbs against some MlB pitching. Maybe spring training.
He could earn a spot. And sure Realmuto will cost but atleast we could still trade him next year if we acquire him for a need.
Look ahead and think ahead get more value in the long run if and I say if Stubbs does well. But if he craps the bed. You have a better catcher and you can resign him

In fairness, Verlander shares the clubhouse with Osuna. Osuna is a prize compared to Puig. Puig is a pure asshole and idiot to go along with it. Licking a bat isn’t even close to alleged domestic violence. Let’s not build up Osuna because he’s an Astro.

Bregman loves to play the game and is good at it. If the WS title was on the line, he'd be the guy I'd want at the plate. He was included in a lot of trade talks by some a year or two ago and I felt like it would be a mistake (and said so repeatedly). He sometimes makes foolish comments, but he hasn't lived long enough to learn the wisdom of humility. McCullers needs to keep his mouth shut, too, but I'm still a fan of both. If we somehow landed Harper (we almost certainly won't), I'll be a fan of his, too. We can all be assholes at times. Some of you guys prove it repeatedly on this board. The difference is their failures are sometimes in public and a bunch of has-been or never-was message board denizens assume the moral high ground and denigrate their characters as if they know them. What a crock.

[/quote] Idk I mean you gotta look at it like this Robinson is 1yr only. Stassi has value and could be moved for Stubbs to come up. But it all rides on the Marlins

About the Astros if he played here. He'd whine about somebody else. He has the face of a whiner. Or Bregman and him would fight in the dugout after one of them accuses the other of dogging it on the field. Now we have to get him.

NO, I dont want some damn fool who licks his bat. But, if he came here and did well for half a season, you'd be sending out invitations to his fan club. This is true.
