Yes sir. Thanks. What do you think the Stros will do this winter? As I mentioned before, you have to be starting to wonder if Charlie is in the picture. There has been talk about Happ, his career changed when he went to Pittsburgh and worked with Searage. Looks like the Yankees are going to be in the mix for him. Other than that will the Stros stay with the youngsters they brought up during the season. There was an interesting article on the astros site.

Marwin might still be in the picture.
McTaggert is a good dude dont get me wrong he just lacks vision. He is always against change. He is in favor of bringing back Keuchal and Marwin no matter the cost

By signing Goldschmidt, Martinez moves to the bench. Hard to keep a bat like that on the bench. The Cardinal bullpen is pretty bad and we have a surplus of arms in the pen so I wonder what it would take to get Martinez.

Jose Martinez should be available and we have what it would take to get him and still have our core prospects.

Why the Reds would want to pay Dallas big bucks is interesting.

They would probably demand one of our ML bullpen arms along with Matijevic and Martin... the two guys we drafted with the picks we got from them as punishment for the hacking incident.

I know most of us have been against it, but our best reasonable option for a SP might end up being Keuchel....
I can't see them bringing Marwin back after acquiring Diaz unless they really don't think there is a reasonable LFer and they want him as a backup for Tucker.

At least you know what you are getting with Dallas, too bad last season, he didn't pitch his first inning in the pen during pre game warm up.

Had Springer been locked into a contract, I’d have been okay with Keuchel returning here. I just don’t like the idea of our CF leaving because too much money is invested in DK.

Let’s not forget the offensive hangover Marwin had for much of last season. Keuchel isn’t currently an ace and had a couple first inning meltdowns and a 1.3+ WHIP. Better to cash out on him.

Nope...not Osuna. It was Verlander and his fluffy wife. Fluffy? Whatever #1 Fan of Taylor Swift Legs Fan Club. Nicer to call her fluffy than to call her fat.

But, if he came here and did well for half a season, you'd be sending out invitations to his fan club. You used to give out internet warrior characters to posters....which one would be Corch. If you remember Saint gave you the ultimate compliment, he gave a definition of Bortaz in the urban dictionary. Unfortunately, that Internet Warrior site is gone from the internet.

The Houston Astros have made contact with the Mets and Indians about possible Starting pitcher additions.
Word is Trevor Baur and Jason Kipnis Noah Snydergaard.
Idk how to feel about it and all but I would have to think Kemp and White and Stassi would have to be apart of a Snydergaard deal with prospects.

Here we are, page 74 and by my count, that is exactly the number of days of Baseball Famine we have left to endure till the first spring training game.
What page will this thread be on at the crack of the bat that opens that first spring training game? As Shakespeare said, "That is the question".

Micheal Fulmer is a Target by the Astros

Micheal Fulmer is a Target by the Astros Not a bad idea to buy low on him. His stock has fallen the past couple seasons. I’d assume they’d also throw in Castellanos.

Micheal Fulmer is a Target by the Astros There's a lot to like about Fulmer. I'd like to see him be able to make more than 25 starts though. I think the Astros would have him under control for 4 years, not bad for a young arm and former ROY.

Fulmer would be a good addition, but I don't see why the Tigers would trade him, given he is under team control for 4 more years. I could see the Tigers offering Zimmerman with cash considerations + Castellanos For Astros top ten prospect, top twenty and top thirty. Castellanos would be the primary DH and partly play in the OF.
