Sure, I'm not saying we need somebody tomorrow, but I think it's fair to put feelers out now and start working on potential plans. After Verlander and Cole, we don't have a solid #3 for a playoff run. I am on the list of folks who want us to try and get Baumgarner. I think Peacock and Miley are absolutely fine. My problem is that we don't have much after that. I don't want to rely on prospects in the postseason. |

This should be Fisher's final chance. Let him play consistently and see what he can do. Then we move on to Tucker/Alvarez/Straw with no regrets.

Like I said I think they are trying to build up some value for him. Alvarez is t even on the 40 man roster.
They were talking earlier and I believe Straw is next. They think he can play SS and OF.
Then Tucker souly a OF or DH
ALVAREZ mid june if they bring him up

Oh, how is your boy Dietrich that you begged us to trade for? hahahahaha Probably not a good reference point on Derek...I asked the question earlier this season to VD, and Dietrich was doing okay, a little better than average...your question had me look, and his average is not so great (.240) but his OBP is .355 and his OPS is .980....that is pretty dang good....but, I don't think he will sustain that for the whole year...I see him regressing...but so far, VD has been actually right on something (can't believe I just said that)...but keep in mind, there is a long way to go in this season, |

Play CF would be a must that he moves away from and a 3 yr deal with options on the 4th and 5th year. Nothing past the age of 35. The fear is getting atuck with a contract like alot of teams are and the player not playing to his contract and the Astros therefore being stuck with that contract and nothing to stop it. As for Dietrich he is very versatile and is currently batting with a .240avg but has 12HRs. Can Stassi, Kemp or White say the same? I didnt think so. So before you clammer about a player look his stats up. Numb nuts and get a damn tic tac jake breath |

Stroman has 1 more arb yr left and currently 2.81 avg with 55ks and 25BB Dont like the walks much but hey what can you do |

I didnt make those up. Those came from another place They where talking about pitchers that they like and that should be traded this year and Wheeler and Stroman where the only two that where talked about for the Astros. I thought I would atleast see Jamison Taillon On that list but nope. |
