Round Rock leading 7-2 and batting in the top of the 8th. Tucker 1-4 with a grand slam so far. Rojas 3-4 and has stolen a base. I really like that kid. Bielak started for Round Rock and has pitched 7 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits, 2 BB and has 7 Ks.

Bielak now has 7 consecutive games with at least 6 IP. He gave 4 runs in one of those games, 3 in another and 1 or no runs in the other 5. He pitched 7 innings in each of his last two starts and allowed just 1 run in those 14 IP.

Brendan McCurry has a nice streak going at Round Rock. He pitched 2 innings of shutout ball in relief of Bielak last night. He hasn’t been scored on in his last 9 relief appearances. In those 9 appearances he has pitched 15 innings, allowed just 4 hits, walked 4 and struck out 19.
Nick Tanielu is heating up again. He went 3-5 with a double last night.... his second consecutive game going 3-5.
McCurry and Tanielu are examples of guys we have in the minors who are not listed in the top prospects rankings, but are good ball players who are near ML ready and could help some team in the near future.

Abraham Toro had a good game for Corpus last night. 3-5 with 2 home runs and a double. He has a 6 game hitting streak going in which he is 11-25, has walked 4 times and not struck out once.
Beer went 1-5 with his 15th home run at AA. He has 24 home runs between Advanced A and AA.
Bukauskas laid an egg: 4.2 IP, 3 H, 5 BB, 3 ER
There is an interesting guy at Corpus. Colton Shaver. He is listed as a third baseman and that is the position he plays most of the time; however, he has been used at catcher some at Advanced A and AA this year. He hit his 9th home run for the Hooks last night. His 9 home runs have come in 98 ABs. He had 6 home runs in 211 ABs at Advanced A before being promoted to AA. Right now he is striking out about once every 3 at-bats. Hopefully he can cut down on the Ks. Might be worth keeping an eye on this guy.
