Taylor Jones is a bit of a surprise. He is a good prospect, but not a potential super star. He plays 1B and LF and has less than a full season at AAA. I kinda doubted any team would take him knowing that they would have to carry him on their active roster all next season. Luhnow must have thought someone would grab him if he wasn’t protected. They had plenty spots open on the 40-man roster so its not that big a surprise. |

They are planning on Gurriel being gone next year and if Jones takes that next step then he would become a viable option.

I’m hoping Crane doesn’t hire Dombrowski. If he does, we won’t have a farm to report on.
