I apologize for posting the results of our minor league games late or not posting them at all. I have gone back to work part-time and it is gardening and mowing season. Not much time for anything else since I’ve gone back to work. Same thing going on with me. I decided that I was tired of fishing and watching the price is right so I decided to get some mind numbing job and work part time. So I applied and before I knew what was going on I had three offers. So I took them all. Now I am down to two and trying to figure out which one to keep. They both want about 24 hours a week so there is no way I am going to keep both of them long term I just need to figure out which one to keep. I thought Wal-Mart killed off the door greeter position.

Fisher is starting to show some value as well. Maybe we can trade them both and get two more like Alvarez.

What we need is a productive Jeff Kent/Barry Bonds type of competition between Tucker and Alvarez.

Well it is good to see Tucker getting over being sent back down and all you can say about Alvarez is Damn. I do not think that Alvarez is a flash in the pan and do not think that he would be over matched if brought up right now. Time to modify the roster a bit.

I believe the problem is that both Kemp and White are subject to waivers if sent down and likely would be lost. That and losing a year of service if we bring up prospects too soon probably account for the reluctance.
I'm doing this from memory, so please correct me if i'm wrong.

You're not wrong. That's why I say we give them until the end of the month to see if they improve.

Stephen Wrenn was promoted from AA to Round Rock yesterday. He has been struggling lately. Only batting .231 over his last 10 games and is batting .271 for the season, so his promotion wouldn’t seem to be a reward for outstanding play.
I’m wondering if maybe the Astros might be preparing to promote an outfielder to the big club and Wrenn will be his replacement on the AAA roster.
