Yet you curse Altuve to the devil because he hasn't been perfect in both hitting and defense. You're a god damned hypocrite. And it's extremely stupid that you support the talentless wanker over the guy who has won nearly every award in the game of baseball. No, you are the hypocrite. You bashed Jake and never gave him credit for being the great defensive outfielder that he has proven to be. You raved on and on about "Jork being the worst player in baseball". Making that statement while we had Stassi and White on the roster showed your inability to judge talent. Neither of those two were worth a damn for anything. Nowhere have I supported Jake over Altuve. You either can't read or making up stuff again. The problem with some of you is you refuse to admit that Altuve has any flaws and get pissed off when I point them out. I think we have a right to expect a major league second baseman with his experience to make routing throws to first and second base. Refusing to admit he blew two games with sloppy throws is HYPOCRITICAL. You focus only on the hitting and ignore the baserunning blunders and throwing errors. NO OTHER PLAYER ON THIS TEAM gets picked off first base nearly as often as he does. In fact, it is rare when any of the others do, but, Jose is a candidate to get picked off any time he's on first base. He either goes blank or falls asleep. Nobody else get thrown out on ridiculous attempts to take an extra base. Too many times he is out and the play isn't even close. But, you go right on ignoring the blunders and only see the hitting. But, the mistakes are still there and they still cost us two games even though you and others refuse to admit it. You are even desperate enough to bring up Jake Marisnick to try to justify your ridiculous comments. Last time I checked, Jake plays for the Mets. We traded him for Blake Taylor, who has done a great job for us. Jake isn't responsible for Altuve's throwing errors and baserunning blunders. I never mentioned Jake........that was you showing your ignorqance by bringing him into the conversation. Nice of you to take God's name in vain. Shows a lot about your communication skills. TL;DR |

I've given up arguing about Altuve. Corch is literally the only person in the world that would bash a player like Jose. The truth is not bashing. If he didn't do what I mentioned, that would be bashing. I believe in giving credit and pointing out flaws. Jose is having a great offensive series. Tonight, he had an outstanding game defensively and made great throws. That tells me there is nothing wrong with his arm and those errors came from trying to guide the throw where he wanted it instead of just cutting it loose. He has played a huge role in us tying this series. I expect a good night from him in game 7. |

For some reason, you seem to think that hitting is all that is important and other factors should be ignored or overlooked. No, I think the throwing problem has been exaggerated to make it a story by people that can't see that other players had roles to play in the runs that scored after. He's being singled out because of who he is. And the fact is, if not for *his* bat, we wouldn't be where we are tonight. We likely still wouldn't have won the games he made errors in because the offense has mostly been unable to score runs outside of him and Brantley (and Springer and Correa to a lesser extent). I'm not going to let a small sample size of two plays overshadow the overall phenomenal job he has done this postseason. I believe in overall value....not a fraction of their overall performance. |
