Was a good AB by Bregman. Just didn't get enough of it. Unfortunately now we've used our best bullpen guys.... Hey you forgot Giles! I'm okay with him if we get a lead.

If it were me, not sure what I would've done considering Hoyt was the next man up. If McHugh was available, it might've been an easier call The way the mojo was going at that point, Hoyt would have been the move. If a reliever is brought in the middle of an inning with the bases empty, does it count as a "clean" inning?

I feel like Hinch points a gun at a reliever and goes click and that’s how they feel when they go out there in pressure situations. No one ever takes the job and runs away with it. It’s like a game of hot potato.

Peacock is human and gave up that home run.....terrible location on that pitch. If we had gotten McCullers out before giving up 8 runs, this may have ended differently.

If they do like last year, stay tuned for an announcement that McCullers is going on the 10-day DL with "discomfort". That way, he can work with Strom to get straigntened out and McHugh can get a start.

It was going to get interesting in extras as to who pitched and how long. Smith, Giles, and McHugh were left. With the day off tomorrow, I wonder if Cole would have been available, which would have meant Morton would start the series against the Rangers.

This game is 100% on McCullers, but each reliever we’ve used as a closer has had shaky moments: Giles, Gregerson, Harris, Peacock (the past couple games in Minnesota), maybe Devenski (I’m not sure if he was ever closer).

The odds of the Astros even tying the game were only 2.4%. As of the fourth inning, the Astros' odds of winning were only 1.7%. They nearly pulled it off.

Gosh, I remember when we had Ankiel in RF and Peña at 1B thinking about how we could possibly have a winning season to seeing Altuve throw out Seager to end the World Series. It’s been a wild ride.

The way the mojo was going at that point, Hoyt would have been the move. So hard to tell with McCullers. In Game 7 of the World Series he was hitting batters left and right but Hinch left him in and he got outs with traffic on the basepaths. If the guy is gonna be a frontline starter he's got to show he can pitch out of jams like Verlander and Keuchel did to a lesser extent earlier in the series

I’m not disappointed in the loss today as much as seeing an unorthodox but fun comeback wasted on a single swing of the bat from Kepler. Poor guys.
