Why is Guduan on the team again? To give up mammoth home runs and walk batters. Good night Guduan.

Guduan has never shown anything good. Sparky believes in him for some reason.

Ironically White and Jake only ones in the starting line up going the collar.

Should have said post game show.

It doesn’t add up to me. At that low line drive velocity, how does the ball bounce that way without hitting something other than the padded wall?

I don't know if you were watching the game on the tube, when they showed the area of where the ball it right after the play, they people that were sitting in that area looked like they had drinks and glasses in the area. There was some kind of bar that ran parallel to the top of the wall. Did you see the HR Jose hit in the last home series, it hit some kind of bar and bounced back into play, he was given the HR.

It looked to me as if the ball bounced slightly downward before the carom. It should’ve been a home run. All in all, the call was bad but not “Altuve was out at home” bad like we saw last season at Fenway.

I assume they have better equipment for a close up in NY, then the network doing the game.

I'm officially onboard the "White to AAA" caravan. I'll wait here for Saint to show up and tell is how great his stats are despite the fact that he never hits the ball. Saint says he has a great OBP so we need to keep him. This clown is the DH which means he is paid to hit. He was 0-4 with 3 k's and has not driven in ONE damn run the entire season. Ship him to Round Rock. White is a NO tool player......totally useless. Jake is paid to play defense and he does an excellent job of it. Any hitting he does is gravy.

White, I can't defend you if you strike out all the f*cking time. I guess this means his great OBP drops

By the time this road trip is over, 15 of their first 21 games will have been played on the road.

White looked like crap last night. He is obviously pressing. Right now he is contributing absolutely nothing. But he needs to stay on the roster til the super two period is over at least. During that time he needs to get a start every now and then and some situational play time. After that look at what Alvarez has done and look at what Tucker has done and make a call. Making a bone headed call on White right now helps about as much as letting Martinez go a few years ago.

All I said was that his OBP has been good despite not hitting well. He deserved a chance after his production the last couple years, but even with a decent OBP he's not playing well enough to stick as a DH unless he gets going soon.

Making a bone headed call on White right now helps about as much as letting Martinez go a few years ago. I think that is precisely what Luhnow will do. Last time I checked the Astros 40-man roster was at 38. There is room to add Alvarez, but I don’t think he will get the call before mid-June or so when he won’t qualify for Super 2. If Alvarez continues to rake while White and Tucker continue to struggle, I think Luhnow will first try and see if he can get anything at all for White in a trade and if he can’t, he will DFA White and call up Alvarez. I am really disappointed in the shape White has allowed his body to deteriorate to this season. He has never been a slim guy and never will be, but seems to have worked hard in the past to get the most he can out of the body and talents he has been given. It is obvious he has not done so this year. Maybe he slacked off because he thought that, since he is now out of options, the team wouldn’t just DFA him so he didn’t have to work as hard this year.
