Let’s start another winning streak tonight. It’s a rain free weekend in Dallas.

For 280 wins, would you take the O/U on Verlander?

For 280 wins, would you take the O/U on Verlander? Well, if we assume he wins at least 45 more games from 2019-2021 with us (which should be doable if he stays healthy even if he doesn't pitch his best), he'd be at 251. He should surely start to see some decline and miss more time so I would think it would take at least two more seasons after that to reach 280. So...he'd be about 40-41 years old, probably, by the time he would reach 280. Yeah, I think a guy with his makeup and determination can reach 280 if he keeps playing for winning teams. I'll take the over. 300 would sure be a stretch unless he starts getting more run support earlier in games or continues to stay remarkably healthy. If we had given him the run support he deserved last year he'd have started the season at 210 AND have a 2nd CY. He has averaged 16 wins a season for his entire career, so just using that it would take him 5 more full seasons after this to reach 300.

White is pulling off the pitch, if he did connect on the pitch, most likely a ground ball to the left side for a DP.

White has got to decide what he is, a power hitter or a doubles hitter. All this tinkering makes him another confused Ensberg who takes too many pitches and swings at bad ones.

The biggest weakness for this offense is innings like this. They can beat teams to death with home runs, but the simple RBI with RISP remains a challenge.
