But Kemp is not good in any of those positions. Who cares if you can play multiple positions if you don't play them well? But you act as if White is better on defense. As for dimensions, I was referring to slap hitting, bunting, and speed. Plus, he’s clutch. You can’t teach that to White. Kemp is a great guy. But we don't NEED him. We NEED Alvarez. |

None of our roleplayers offer a ton of value. That's why they're roleplayers. All I'm trying to get at, is before we give up on them, let's give them a chance after their success last year. Once we give up on them, that potential depth is likely gone. Then we're reliant on unproven prospects. |

Not a defining stat but better than watching strike three with a runner at third and less than an out, which has happened a couple times with him this season. He’s had ample times to show off his “value” and failed. Eh, we're just going around in circles. I'm willing to give a guy, who has been a productive hitter overall in four partial seasons, a chance until June. While you're more than happy with a similar producing hitter making $13 million.

I think it’s unfair for one to languish in AAA while the other who has done nothing to warrant having a job keeps getting his chances. He has 4 doubles, 2 RBI, and 0 homers. For all the talk of his power potential, he has a slugging percentage lower than his on-base percentage. His weight gain is also a reflection on his effort and team dedication. |
