this umpire has been all over the place with both teams. Strikes on Balls, Balls for Strikes Got to be hard on the Players yeah, at various times each time has both benefitted and been harmed by the poor strike calling. I'm all for keeping baseball traditions, but if you ask me it's time for the electronic strike zone. Time to make the game fairer for everyone concerned and let umpires concentrate on other things, like fair/foul, safe/out, etc. But we have instant replay for safe/out and fair/foul. |

there ya go... Astros get an infield hit and Fox Sport commentary: "What amazing defense by Boston!" The worst was Smoltz basically saying it was a shame the Astros had a big first inning since the game isn’t that close. |
