The old Altuve would’ve awkwardly swung for contact to get Jake in from third. Even old Altuve didn't get hits every AB. |

I went to bed before the 5 run 5th inning. Nice win! All aspects of our team played well. Glad to see Jake answer back with his bat, glove and wheels.

I have newfound respect for Jake now. Handled himself well and let his bat and play speak for him Jake is a class act and highly liked and respected by his teammates. He didn't get the heart and hustle award for nothing. He showed class and Pujols made an ass of himself and then took the cowards' way out and sat tonight Pooholes is the proverbial contract albatross around their collective necks. Couldn't happen to a better fan base. |

Maybe he is Bortaz' hero, too. I think you took the wrong medication tonight, pops...let's not get crazy. He responded well to this scenario, but he's still a shitty baseball player. Next week, he'll be back to striking out with the bases loaded. |
