3 straight k's. No sense in it It's even more senseless than normal considering that Mike Leake has only averaged 4 strikeouts per 9 innings this season. By this point in the game, he should have 2 K's max. Even over his entire career, Leake has only averaged 6 K's per 9 innings. |

Hader has proven to be a tough one to lose. Too bad the Astros can't get him back.
I still think Kelvin Herrera is one of the better trade targets for July, but Luhnow probably wants to see how Sipp pitches following his DL stint as Sipp would probably be the guy to get booted if Herrera joins the pen.

I enjoy getting to know something about the players from other teams before the Astros actually play them. If anyone here would like to write an article for history-earned.com, you are more than welcome. It could be a one-off thing if you want; there's no obligation to write on a regular basis. |
