If he's not ready now, he never will be. Same with Tucker. Right on Mayfield.........wrong on Tucker. Mayfield is older and isn't very high in the rankings of prospects. They plan to be patient with Tucker or Luhnow would not have made him untouchable during trade talks. |

Mayfield hit .143 in 42 AB’s. He seems like a nice guy but he can’t hit MLB pitching.

You’ve got to feel bad for Nick Tanielu. He is 26 years old and has not made his MLB debut yet. Right now he is on a 15-game hitting streak in which he is batting .475 (28-59) with 4 home runs and only 8 Ks. 11 of the 15 games were multi-hit games. He has played 1B, 2B and 3B this season. He’s got to be wondering what he has to do to get called up.
