Did you hear what Bogusevic told Blummer when he was asked why no one in MLB is stealing bases anymore? They both think it's a thing of the past because advanced metrics have shown that it's not worth the effort/risk. For each caught stealing, you have to steal successfully three times to break even. Interesting take from who I consider the Astros King of Unrealized Potential. i laughed out loud the other day when Bogusevic was mentioned as an "Astros great"......The guy barely made a pit stop....he never came close to establishing himself as a member of the team. He was a joke.

that reminds me talshill had tickets tonight. Poor guy
Will not be making that mistake again anytime soon. It was boring, but at least it was short. Chirinos' HR was an absolute bomb, BTW. Tal if I knew JV was scheduled to make the start in the game I had tickets for, I wouldn't care if Tri City was playing behind him. He is a class act on the mound, win or lose.

Funny how they can give themselves up like that but heaven forbid someone does a squeeze play every once in a while or at least bunt a runner to third base every once in a while. Did you hear what Bogusevic told Blummer when he was asked why no one in MLB is stealing bases anymore? They both think it's a thing of the past because advanced metrics have shown that it's not worth the effort/risk. For each caught stealing, you have to steal successfully three times to break even. If that's true, caught-stealings must bring Hinch to a slow boil

I remember when AJ got ejected from a Spring training game and he thought about driving to Jupiter cause it was split-squad day
He said he wasn't sure what the rules were for ST ejections Yeah I think I remember that one. It is bad to get the ejection in a ST game. If I am not mistaken wasn't he ejected before a first pitch was thrown. Angel Hernandez must've been the ump that day

I wonder what the analytics department thinks about how the 8th and 9th innings ended for us. Traditional baseball is The Devil!

If you're not going to drink, sign up to be a designated driver at the booth down by the escalators. You get at least one free soda ticket and sometimes two.

Stros brass pulling a card out of the playbook of CNN. lol Strange. Wonder if Verlander and that particular Detroit reporter have a history? I sure don't remember this ever happening before.

Could be, on clips that I have seen after the trade JV seemed cordial to the Detroit press. It also could have been the moment of how the game was lost, but he is a class act.

Actually, 2 bags of Crackerjack and a bottled water which I shared with my wife came to $17. I was going to get a margarita until I discovered it was $27.50 for an 8 ounce cup, and most of that was ice.
