either too stubborn or too stupid to make adjustments and it hurts the team. He is dumb as dirt and has earned being called DUMBASS. As much as you complain, Altuve isn't hurting us, particularly in the second half of the season. You may think he could do even better, but his numbers (900 OPS+ for the year/1.000 OPS+ for the second half) are elite, even with your frustration about his being a dum bass. I personally just think you like cussing at people you couldn't dream being as good as or ever were on your best days.
You're not alone, but you are more vocal about it.
Oh! So now Altuve is a dum bass? Either way..., fortunately for Jose neither dumbass nor dum bass base running gaffs have any impact on OPS.

Oh! So now Altuve is a dum bass? Either way..., fortunately for Jose neither dumbass nor dum bass base running gaffs have any impact on OPS. I am not denying he has good numbers. My point is related to how much better his numbers and production would be if he exercised a little patience at the plate and stopped making so many blunders running the bases. In this loss, he was doubled off first base to end an inning after missing second base trying to get back. This ended the inning when we had a good bitter on deck. Then, he kills an inning by grounding into a DP on the first pitch of the at bat. Later, he comes up with the bases loaded and lunges at the first pitch and taps it back to the pitcher who flips the ball to the catcher for the force at the plate. With the bases loaded, I had rather see ANY player on our roster at the plate other than Altuve. Hinch needs to have a one on one with him and try to get this problem corrected, but, he won't. He will just keeping our little dumbass former MVP keep doing dumb stuff and killing rallies.

Altuve just does what he does no matter the situation. He doesn’t stray from the plan or adjust to the pitching or defense. In his defense, he tried to take it to right. He just got way over it. He's been doing it the last couple games. Trying to get out of his pull mode. No excuse for taking a center cut fastball for strike tnree with two outs and the bases loaded. That effectively ended any chance we had to come back.

Losing the game when a nut job strikes out the top 3 hitters in our lineup is more than frustrating.
