94-50 1st in everything at the moment. Team OPS+: 119 Team ERA+: 123
Fiers vs. Greinke
Lord, I hope we don't get beat down by Fiers. Basically everybody got a semi-half day yesterday so they should be decently rested. Come out hot and embarrass them!

I wish TVs still had picture-in-picture. I wonder why that feature was taken out.

So worst case scenario, we leave this series with at least a 5.5 game lead in the West with only 14 games to go.

We meed to leave this series at least tied with the Yankees for home field advantage. We need to win because the Yankees play the Tigers.

I can't believe anyone would make that much effort to watch the crappy NFL.

I'm going to watch the Texans on the main TV, and have the Astros on my tablet. While I prefer the Astros over the Texans, obviously, missing one football is the equivalent of 10 MLB games.

I'm going to watch the Astros. The only question is whether it will be live or delayed.
The NFL is as dead to me as the NBA and NHL. Each had their chance to retain my interest and failed.

As long as J.J. Watt is playing for the Texans, I'll keep watching. He's what's right in this world. Also, Whitney Mercilus is a good guy.

My problem is not with every NFL player. It is with the NFL which chose to support the jerks and allowed them to use their platform to make political statements against the USA. My choice is to make my displeasure known whenever the subject of THEIR game comes up. They have a right to be jerks and I have a right to call them out and avoid their product.
I'm sorry JJ and others of like mind have to labor under the Anti-American jerks that control the NFL.

I like sports. I like to watch sports. Most of the athletes are just guys that want to play their game and make money as they can. The same as most of us. I don't care for the guys that make the weird political statements or act like asshats, but I still like to watch the games. For every Kapaernick and Antonio Brown is a JJ, Brees, or Andre Johnson. Just like for every Carlos Gomez, Puig, or Bryce Harper there is a Jose Altuve.
The leagues are going to make their money. They don't care if they piss off a handful of fans if they're still making billions. All people are doing by not watching is missing out by not watching. If it makes them feel better to take some type of stand for whatever reason, that's their own business. I just want to watch JJ smash some guys and Watson hopefully make some superstar plays.

Greinke is 4-1 with a 3.86 ERA (118 ERA+) with us. That's pretty solid overall, but we're paying him to be better than Keuchel. Let's see a shutdown start today, ZG.

Once the NFL allowed those thugs to get away with taking a knee during the national anthem. I don't give a damn about the NFL. Disrespecting our country is something that should not be tolerated by any professional sports organization.

That's not anywhere near solid for what was expected of him, and the money/resume. The D-backs overpaid to sign him and will continue to pay a lot of his contract. I think we are guilty of expecting Greinke to duplicate what we are getting from Verlander and Cole and that is not going to happen. Greinke is not te power pitcher he used to be but would still be the ace of many major league staffs. He is definitely the best #3 pitcher in the game. For anyone to say he sucks is ridiculous.

Diaz can't start to replace him in the lineup. I would have liked to see them have Tucker in the lineup against Fiers......I expect us to end Fiers' win streak tonight. We will knock him out of the game.

Greinke has taken a few games to settle in in the past when changing teams.
He's about to show off.
