You’ve got to admire Oakland. They got their butts kicked last night, but they didn’t show up with their heads down tonight. Sometimes you’ve just got to tip your cap... it is what it is.... Is that you, Craig? Will you sign my commemorative 3000 hit mini-bat? Why sure!! I’ve also got some autographed pictures of myself glad handing fans in every ballpark on my well-deserved goodbye tour, if you would like a set of those.

I wish we had a pitching coach who really knew how to fix these batting practice pitchers we run out there so often.

I wonder if we are about to make history again. I’d be willing to bet that there has never in the history of MLB been a team that won a game by 20 or more and lost a game by 20 or more within a span of 3 days.

What's your beef with Bidge? Bagwell was my favorite but Biggio was a heck of a player and did everything the team could possibly ask of him.

Bagwell was my favorite but Biggio was a heck of a player and did everything the team could possibly ask of him. Biggio was a fine player, but his personality grates on me. The cliches that olpapa wrote were nearly verbatim from Biggio when he was excusing his shitty play in the playoffs. Finally, he made a fool of himself and a mockery of the team with that fecking retirement circle jerk. Bagwell was also my favorite player. Berkman was 2nd. Then Biggio.

Bagwell was my favorite but Biggio was a heck of a player and did everything the team could possibly ask of him. It’s easier to have more fond memories of Bagwell than Biggio because Bagwell’s career was cut short due to injury and embarrassing resistance by the front office in having him play due to an insurance dispute. As for Biggio, he played a little longer than he should have and had a Jeter-like exit but without nearly the same impact on the game. I liked both players (Bagwell much more) but can understand the criticism lobbed Biggio’s way.

I wouldn't say Biggio is even in my top-5 but I never had an issue with him.

Yelich out for the season with a broken kneecap. You hate to see a great player go down, especially when their team is in the middle of a playoff hunt.

Big blow for the Twins: Byron Buxton out for the season with a shoulder subluxation. He will be having labrum surgery.
