I’m thinking they will only carry 11 pitchers on the ALDS roster. They only carried 11 in 2017 and I believe we have a deeper pitching staff this year than we had in 2017.

I can't wait to see what happens with Correa. If he can actually play in the playoffs, it would be great for the team. To have his superior defense and his bat at the 6th or 7th spot in the lineup, is a testament how good this team is really.... You need to root for him harder than you do for Jake....Correa needs to be your #1....Because if he can make it through the playoffs and produces like he has in the past, then he can be traded in the OS ... Astros need top prospects at SP, C and possibly OF...and CC might be the answer in getting them.. So reverse your course, you are his biggest fan now. Don't mention Daniela unless you are complementing her. Until you believe the above to be true, Fake it until you Make it: You Love Carlos. He is the best!

Yes, he is the often injured, but when he is playing, he is an SS, so while he is an Astro root for his recovery...

There is no reason to dislike the guy other than his being fragile. We should want him to do well no matter what. (Until he is no longer an Astro.)

I like Correa in the line-up because I think Bregman is a better 3B than SS. Top 3 vs top 8.
Of course I route far every player on the field that wears the Astros jersey. But I can only do it when their on the field.

If there is a deadlne, wait until the last possible minute. Who we have on our roster could depend on which team we face.

Yes, he is the often injured, but when he is playing, he is an SS Duhrr? Missed word - elite, before SS.

I've been searching for the NL Wild card team rosters and nothing yet. That would make the deadline the same day as the first game.

FWIW, I heard some guys talking on some sport talk show on the radio and they said the Astros have to submit their ALDS roster NLT Friday morning. What time Friday morning, I don’t know.

Interesting. The nationals announced their roster, but the roster wasn't part of the write up. Reporters today don't know the difference between reporting and commentary. They think the facts are less relevant then the commentary.

Now I'm not sure if the roster changes before the division series. The rule says it must be determined before each series, but it doesn't specify if a single Wild Card game is a separate series or an expansion of the division series. With four starting pitchers on the Nationals Roster, the latter may hold true.

Playing in the WC isn't playing in the DS. Surely the rosters aren't mandated to be the same.

What's the history on why Liberty's hat is blown off in that bust?

What's the history on why Liberty's hat is blown off in that bust? It's actually a Phrygeon Cap on a pole behind the portrait and has an old history as a symbol of LIBERTY.

I wonder if our roster will be different since we get the Rays than if we had gotten the A's. They have some tough decisions to make before finalizing the roster.

If you plan on going with three starters in five game series, it opens up an extra roster spot.
