I understand the lack of toughness or whatever, but why do you think he's being anything but honest about the back pain? Do you think he's saying back pain to cover up for some other pain? To me, he's given no reason for us to believe he wouldn't be out there if he thought could without making the situation worse. I guess he could be saying it's back soreness instead of an STD or something.... Maybe he has swollen balls and can't run. I am just saying that i don't think his back problems are severe enough to force him to miss the amount of time he has missed. Do you think that Altuve, Bregman, or any other regular would have missed this much time? If his back issues are so severe, maybe he needs a surgical procedure of some kind to correct the problem. One thing I do know .....No licensed masseuse gave him a massage that cracked a rib......that was a damn lie. "I am just saying that i don't think his back problems are severe enough to force him to miss the amount of time he has missed." So then what is it? Why would he choose to miss time if he didn't have to when he knows it hurts his future earnings at a critical time in his career?

If Marisnick follows along similar to how Pillar has been compensated, he could be looking at possibly $5 million. Yes, and we should NOT give it to him.

Let me try again..........Correa has a very low tolerance for pain and isn't tough enough to play through it. I am not arguing your point about future earnings, but, unless he can develop some toughness and an ability to deal with pain from time to time, he is costing himself a lot of money.

Corch knows hittin' skins with Daniella is the reason Carlos can't give us 600 plate appearances. He's convinced there's a sex tape to prove it and the front office is covering it upIf such a tape existed, Bortaz would have stockpiled copies and offered them for sale here.

I suppose if Jake was brought back for more than $4M I'd start to find him annoying. I'd miss the board flames against him if he were non-tendered though, so I'd be torn

Not even with the bases loaded and less than two outs? Jake is paid to be a good defensive outfielder and he does that job better than most. If he hits, it is a luxury. For anyone to label him as the worst player in baseball makes them sound like a drooling retard. That’s the reverse excuse people made about Carlos Lee. The one exception I could tolerate was Adam Everett because he was arguably the top defender at the most difficult position back in those days.

Adam Everett was the best defensive SS we have ever had and his hitting was probably worse than Jake's. At least Jake has power......Everett did not.

So you have no reason then to think he is doing anything shady or wrong. Why do you keep making it sound like it's anything but him being fragile?

All things considered, despite weaker offense, Everett was a more valuable player than Marisnick.
He was brutally bad on offense though. Bad enough that I don't think he would have held down a starting job in this day and age.

He played a tougher position with a more accurate arm. Yes, he did. I loved watching him play SS.....he was a magician I remember starting a thread telling people he was a better SS than Derek Jeter because of his defense. He made almost impossible plays look routine so he never made the highlight reels. The opposite of Jeter who made routine plays look spectacular.

I'd venture he'd be hitting as well as Jake.

I'd venture he'd be hitting as well as Jake. Two of my favorite players have been Roger Metzger and Adam Everett.

He made almost impossible plays look routine so he never made the highlight reels. The opposite of Jeter who made routine plays look spectacular. It was a ridiculous comparison because the word “defense” neglects their overall game. If even Everett’s family members were asked who they’d rather have at SS on a team of their choice, they’d pick Jeter.
