Gives the reaaons we should be favored to win the World Series, but, we still have to win 11 games in the post-season to get the job done.

Harris not tailing off yet has got me believing more. His stuff last game against Anaheim gave me flashbacks of Lidge ca. 2004.

Harris not tailing off yet has got me believing more. His stuff last name got against Anaheim gave me flashbacks of Lidge ca. 2004. I think our pen is rounding into one that could be a strength for us in the post-season. My concern with the pitching is that I am not convinced Hinch will use Urquidy as the 4th starter even though he has earned it. AT this point, Miley shoulkd not only have pitched himself out of the rotation, but, off the playoff roster. But, there is no way AJ keeps him off the roster. I like a pen of Peacock, James, Rondon, Smith,. Harris, Pressly, and Osuna. I think an extra position player would be more help than having 8 relievers. I would keep Miley off the roster and go with Urquidy. Position players would be" Gurriel Altuve Bregman Correa ( I have him on it because AJ would put him on it if he came to the park on crutches) Brantley Springer Reddick Alvarez Chirinos Diaz Tucker Maldonado Straw Marisnick/ Stubbs I like having three catchers. but, AJ will keep Jake on the roster. I am also afraid he will use 8 relievers even thought I don't think he needs that many.

When you look at Fan Graphs, we are favored by far to win the WS. ...... 33.6% chance Of course the half empty crowd will say that there is a 66.4% chance we won't.

What concerns me as a Stros fan is if it comes down to playing at the Trop. History hasn't been good in that venue, no matter what caliber team the Rays put on the field. Also I admire Kevin Cash as a manager, he is one that will go to the small ball game, and play old fashion Baseball. The Yankees just finished a series in there scoring one run in two games, with one of them going extra innings. They are a team of unknown bunch of players with nothing to lose.

Both teams should be respected, overall games played against each opponent, the Stros have struggled against the Rays the most.

Precisely, the four runs they scored yesterday were the most since the division clincher, the second game in a row all were scored off home runs.

Rays have a very good rotation When Morton last pitched against the Stros, he looked on the South end of innings pitched for the season. But his last start against the Yankees, Uncle Charley was untouchable against them. A five game series against them, especially if Snell comes back strong could be trouble. Then again they are going to have to throw their best to get to face Houston.

The best news about the playoffs is that we don't have to face any pitchers making their MLB debut or with ERAs over 5. We seem to have trouble with those.

It is incredible that we seem to have that issue but there it is. The bad news is that we have to win 3 series against 3 very, very good teams. I think we are up to the task.

Then again they are going to have to throw their best to get to face Houston. With Morton starting for TB, I predict the Rays beat the A’s in the WC game. That should limit CFM to one start in the ALDS, but I could see him being used out of the pen in a game 5, if it goes that far.

We all know who we WANT to go to the World Series in 2019 from the AL.
Who do you think will be there in the NL? Will it be the Dodgers for the 3rd straight year? And if so do you see a Buffalo Bills scenario or are they more scary because 3x the charm?
I think the Braves have a really good chance to sneak through.

It used to be jaw dropping how unappreciative and complacent Braves fans were around their successes in the early '90's to mid '00's. Half empty stadiums for baseball post season games? Sheesh.... Some of the wost fans in baseball.

I think Milwaukee will make it to the WS. Which, for me as a Braun hater, is the worst case scenario.
